Why ‘Bachelorette’ fans think Michael Allio (Michael A.) will leave Katie Thurston’s season
When ABC dropped the first season preview for Katie’s journey on The Bachelorette, one scene stuck out above the rest. In the teaser, Katie was crying in a baby blue shirt, and she hinted at a self-elimination.
“Our time was cut too short,” Katie said.
Then in the midseason promo trailer, Katie’s baby blue shirt made another appearance, and she seemed to be holding Michael A.’s hand. Meanwhile, Michael A. appeared to be conflicted about staying.
“My son’s the thing I love the most,” Michael A. said in a voiceover.
Then The Bachelorette preview highlighted a clip of Michael A. chatting with his kid over the phone. And his son seemingly said, “Maybe daddy don’t want to see me.” This immediately cut to a shot of Michael A. letting out a deep sigh in front of producers.
“It just tore me apart,” Michael A. told Katie. “I can’t focus on anything else.”
Reality Steve says Michael A. is leaving in ‘The Bachelorette’ Week 8
When ABC released The Bachelorette previews, many fans predicted that Michael A. will eliminate himself and leave Katie’s season for his son. Then on July 19, Bachelor Nation blogger Reality Steve updated fans on Michael A.’s journey on the ABC reality series.
According to Reality Steve, Michael A. will make it through to the final four. But Michael A. will allegedly send himself home before Hometowns and leave in The Bachelorette Season 17 Week 8. The blogger also claimed that the contestant appears in the “Men Tell All” special episode, which will air on July 26. Reality Steve wrote:
[Michael A.] finishes 4th, BUT, his family doesn’t meet Katie. At the beginning of next weeks episode, we’ll see Michael self eliminate because of his son, and Katie never meets his family. Then the episode will transition into the “Men Tell All,” which was filmed this past Thursday and Michael was there. And there was an audience in attendance as well. Kaitlyn and Tayshia hosted.
Katie Thurston teases self-eliminations on her ‘Bacheorette’ season
Whether Michael A. leaves Katie’s season of The Bachelorette, the current lead previously teased at least one self-elimination at the start of her season. When speaking with On the Red Carpet, Katie hinted that someone may shake things up on her season.
“You think it’s going to be so fun. You’re dating all these guys and going on all these dates. But also, you’re in charge of telling these men goodbye,” Katie said. “Also, sometimes they’re telling you goodbye. There’s a lot of heartbreak that you go through week after week that I really wasn’t prepared for.”
Then in an interview with Your California Life, Katie echoed her statement.
“The one thing I’ve learned is you can’t predict everything. Sometimes that means someone else is saying goodbye to me,” she said.
Whatever happens as The Bachelorette Season 17 approaches its finale, it certainly seems like Katie is in for a wild ride. So stay tuned. We’re only a few weeks away from the dramatic conclusion.
