‘Bachelorette’ Alum Tyler Cameron Reveals His Long-Term Goal
Tyler Cameron was going to move to New York to focus on modeling after ‘The Bachelorette’ no matter what
According to an interview he did with the Bachelor Party podcast back in late August, the plan for Cameron was always to move to New York after the show ended to dive head-first into the world of modeling.
“I got the call [to be on the show] Valentine’s day. I was on a modeling job actually. I was a door man at a Cartier store. I was on that waiting for the call. Got the call, was super hyped about it. But then I was up in New York after that just like three or four weeks doing a bunch of test shoots, trying to get my book built, and work with my agency up here, and so I was gonna move up here whatever happened with the show,” he told host Juliet Litman.
Cameron knows he can’t be a model forever.
“Because houses are always gonna be built, renovated, there’s always gonna be opportunities there,” he continued. “But there’s a shelf life to modeling and these opportunities so I’m trying to run with it and see what it has to offer and I got some really cool things that are coming with modeling.”
He said he’ll always have a place in his heart for construction, but his main focus was, at the time, modeling.
“My life has changed completely. A lot more opportunities are coming. I’m excited there’s a lot of things that are in the makings right now that I’m really excited about. As much as I love Jupiter and I love construction […] but prior to the show I was going to move to New York City to go for my modeling career,” he said.
Tyler Cameron is planning for the long-term
In a recent interview with Paper, Cameron revealed that he’s been laying a little ground work for his future. Eventually, he definitely wants to end up back in Florida doing construction.
“One day all this will be a great memory and a great experience, but down the road when I’m 60 years old I still want to have that construction company churning and burning. That’s my long-term goal. It’s important for me to get going now and build a foundation of that business,” he said.
Many celebrities, especially those born out of reality television, don’t often talk about what they’re going to do when they get too old to sell stuff on Instagram. But it looks like Cameron’s got it all figured out.
