Camrus Johnson teased an ‘incredible cliffhanger’ in the finale
Based on the promo for the season finale, the episode will drive the narrative forward and spur tense confrontations. It is certain that some threads will linger until season 2, but will any conflicts be resolved in the finale? Johnson, who plays tech whiz Luke Fox on Batwoman, spoke with TV Line about the show. In the interview, he told them this about the final episode of the season:
Honestly, man, I love this finale. I wouldn’t say I like it more than the finale we had planned, but I will say that when I saw the end of episode 20, I gasped. [Laughs] It’s really awesome, and I think the fans are going to be pretty happy with what they see. I personally was very impressed that we did what we did at the end of episode 20. I was very taken back, like, ‘Wow.’
Although I’d love to shoot episodes 21 and 22 — and I still hope those stories come, because those episodes are freaking fantastic — I am totally OK, at the current moment, finishing the season with [episode 20] because I think it’s a pretty incredible cliffhanger.Camrus Johnson in an interview with TV Line
Twitter fans have predicted how the cliffhanger will play out in the finale
Johnson did not give away the ending, but some fans are convinced they know what the cliffhanger entails, and they are tweeting all about it.
“I’m still hoping for a Bruce Wayne cameo in the form of a Hush impersonation or something,” tweeted one fan.
“Bruce Wayne will walk into Wayne Towers/Bat Cave, and that will be the massive cliffhanger for next season,” wrote a different Twitter user.
“$10 [says] the Batwoman season ends with Kate being hurt by Jacob, leaving it on a ‘is she dead?’ cliffhanger, predicted another.
It remains to be seen whether any of these fan predictions are correct. But viewers can watch it all play out in the Batwoman Season 1 finale, May 17 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
