From what she’s said, Lawrence seems to be very in love with her husband. Cosmopolitan reported that Lawrence appeared on a podcast called Naked  where she discussed Maroney. The actress said “I definitely wasn’t at a place where I was like, ‘I’m ready to get married.'”

She recalled. “I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully. He’s my best friend so I want to legally bind him to me forever. And fortunately the paperwork exists for such a thing. It’s the greatest. You find your favorite person in the planet and you’re like you can’t leave. So I wanted to take that offer.” Lawrence also told Entertainment Tonight “He’s just the best person I’ve ever met in my whole life. [My decision to get married to him] was a very, very easy decision.”

Lawrence and Maroney’s wedding happened in Rhode Island with 150 guests in attendance. Famous guests at the wedding included Cameron Diaz, Emma Stone, Adele, Kris Jenner, Nicole Richie, and Ashley Olsen. As per Boston.com, the wedding was at an estate called Belcourt of Newport.

Town & Country reported that the estate was designed in the late 19th century by Richard Morris Hunt and is modeled after Louis XIII’s hunting lodge at Versailles. The property is currently undergoing a restoration by Carolyn Rafaelian, the CEO of Alex and Annie. For those interested, she has been documenting this restoration on Instagram.

Lawrence has given her fans some insights into how she planned her wedding. Lawrence didn’t seem to be too concerned with the details of her wedding, explaining “I haven’t been neurotic about it. I’m too lazy to be neurotic. I like saw a dress I liked. I said, ‘Oh, that’s the dress.’ I saw a venue, and I was like, ‘Cool, we got the venue.’”

Unlike Lawrence, the reigning queen of publicity, Maroney seems to live a fairly low-key life aside from his well-publicized wedding. He is on social media but his account is currently private. Getting married to Maroney seems to have been a change of pace for Lawrence. Several of her previous relationships were with famous men. Besides dating actor Nicholas Hoult and acclaimed movie director Darren Aronofsky, she was also romantically involved with Chris Martin, the lead singer of the indie pop band Coldplay.
