‘Below Deck’: Jake Foulger Nude in Public Could Have Resulted in Captain Lee’s Plane Ticket Home

Captain Lee Rosbach was less than amused with Jake Foulger's display of public nudity on 'Below Deck.' He said Foulger broke his golden rule of 'don't embarrass yourself and don't embarrass the boat' and the night could have ended very differently if he knew what happened.

Captain Lee Rosbach from Below Deck wasn’t amused when he saw lead deckhand Jake Foulger nude during the crew night out.

After having dinner with the crew, Foulger stripped naked and jumped in the pool at the hotel restaurant. The crew stood by and laughed but Rosbach didn’t exactly think it was funny when he witnessed it on the show. Fougler broke Rosbach’s golden rule of “don’t embarrass yourself and don’t embarrass the boat.” This sometimes means the crew member receives a special plane ticket courtesy of Rosbach.

Could Jake Foulger’s behavior cost him his job?

Rosbach didn’t say he would have fired Foulger but hinted that the night would have ended quite differently if he knew what happened. “Glad I didn’t have to witness it firsthand but in a way, I wish I would have, it would’ve turned out way differently I promise you,” Rosbach wrote in his weekly blog. “But you don’t know what you don’t know, nor what you don’t see so we live to fight another day.”

He added, “That fiasco in a public restaurant was totally embarrassing. Someone should have stepped up and put a stop to it. There, is that plain enough, or did any of you think that you didn’t embarrass the boat by this behavior, you all get judged by what some of you may do. Not fair, but that’s the way it is. I wonder what the staff of that restaurant went home and told their families about the crew from MY Seanna. I’m sure it wasn’t too flattering, but then your behavior wasn’t either. When I told you to go out and have fun, did you think that included embarrassing the Yacht and yourselves.”

Captain Lee wondered why Eddie Lucas let Jake Foulger run nude in public

Rosbach wasn’t just frustrated with Foulger’s behavior. He also wondered why first officer Eddie Lucas, who slammed chef Rachel Hargrove in the past for wild behavior, didn’t do anything.

While Rosbach praised Lucas for the job his team did with docking, he sniped at him for Foulger’s behavior. “What in the hell were you thinking when you let Jake run naked thru a public restaurant,” Rosbach wrote, addressing Lucas.

“You didn’t think that reflected badly on the boat or himself,” he continued. “Both rules shot to hell. What do you think I may have done had I seen that? I know it’s a tough spot but that comes with the 3- stripe territory pal. It’s a fine line.”

Jake Foulger nude at the restaurant was ‘disappointing’ for Captain Lee

Rosbach also addressed Foulger directly, not only for being nude but for the story he told the deck team in the beach club. “Ok, all you had to do is two things, not embarrass yourselves and do not embarrass the boat. Hmmm, couldn’t manage either one right?” Rosbach tweeted during the episode.

“Jake, I just don’t have any words at all. Extremely disappointed. That’s it,” Rosbach wrote in his blog. He also admonished Foulger for the story he told in the beach club, shortly before the trampoline blew away. “Oh, and your crew topic of conversation isn’t any better than Rayna’s. That story you told in the beach club was classless in my opinion. Maybe I’m getting old, but I don’t think class has gone out of style yet.”

Foulger’s job seems to be safe for now …

Below Deck is on Monday at 9/8c on Bravo.
