‘Below Deck Med’: Chef Kiko Reveals Who Were His Best Friends on the Boat
“My best friends on Wellington, thanks girls to hold my back when I needed,” Lorran shared in an Instagram post along with a funny photo. The photo features Lorran along with chief stew Hannah Ferrier and third stew Jessica More.
“Always 💗💗💗,” Ferrier replied. Lorran added, “Friends forever 😁❤️🙌.” More shared that she always had his back. More also told Showbiz Cheat Sheet she loved working with Lorran. “He’s such a good chef and I couldn’t have been happier working in the galley with him,” she said. “He has such pleasant energy. He’s childlike. A ray of sunshine.” More also posted the image, commenting that this was a favorite photo from the season.
Hannah Ferrier truly wanted to see Chef Kiko succeed
Ferrier shared that she really loved Lorran and was hoping her support would help him. She shared the same photo on Instagram and commented on the thread that the Vegas dinner night was a miscommunication.
“It was all food that was on [the guests’] preference sheet and was trying to run with the theme,” she commented. “I felt awful that Kiko ended up in the situation he was in. TBH I was thinking more cones of truffle fries – little individual nachos – fun little boxes of popcorn chicken etc. I love Kiko and was genuinely trying to help him. He’s knows that 💗.” Ferrier added that Lorran was “the nicest 💗💗💗.”
She added, “I love @hindrigolorran and tried to help as best I could. The LAST thing I would ever want was my little bestie leaving – trust me. He was my sanity.”
Both stews tweeted their support for Chef Kiko
Fans tweeted when Lorran broke down in tears during his confessional. He felt defeated but vowed to continue to give it his all in the kitchen. “My heart hurts for his adorable spirit,” More tweeted.
Ferrier also tweeted during the episode that she was really trying to help Lorran during the Vegas night dinner. “I absolutely love Kiko and was trying to help him,” she shared. “There was nothing else I could have done. The last thing I wanted was more trouble for him. He’s very aware of that.”
“I wish Kiko had recieved a bit more support,” Ferrier added. “From personal experience threatening to replace someone is not a good motivator and can throw a chef off very easily and that’s what I saw happening.”
Chef Kiko also got along well with the entire crew
Lorran also shared a photo with the deckhands. “The boys 😎👊🛳!! One week to go, isssaaaaa🤙,” he captioned the image on Instagram before the season began.
“Ayyyyy let the games begin my brothers,” deckhand Alex Radcliffe playfully replied. Deckhand Rob Westergaard added, “Miss you brother.” Lorran replied, “Me too brother I hope we can meet this year again🤙🤙🤙.”
Lorran also shared a photo with the cast after the first charter. He clearly enjoyed working with most of the crew. “It was fun last night with these amazing crew. I hope you guys enjoyed,” he wrote.
