Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Alli Dore Says Sydney Zaruba Blocked Her on Instagram, Adds She’s ‘Very Passive Aggressive’

Alli Dore from 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' says Sydney Zaruba blocked her on Instagram and operates in a passive-aggressive way. She said she has no idea why Sydney dislikes her, sharing that she really liked Sydney.

Alli Dore and Sydney Zaruba from Below Deck Sailing Yacht were probably two reasons why Colin Macrae said some crew members no longer speak to each other. Dore recently shared that Zaruba blocked her on social media and doesn’t know why her former crewmate iced her out and won’t speak to her. But added that she sees Zaruba as a passive-aggressive person and their personalities ultimately didn’t click.

“I’m still baffled as to why Sydney dislikes me to the point where she’s blocked me on Instagram,” Dore admitted on the Spirituality and self-love in the modern world podcast. “It’s not like I speak to her ever. Or hassle her. But I know she has been copping so much negative feedback. It’s awful. I feel really, really bad for her. But obviously, my name is being associated with a lot of that trolling that she’s getting. So she’s decided to block me. I guess now she doesn’t see things people are tagging her in on my things. I don’t know why …”

Why did Sydney Zaruba block Alli Dore from ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’?

“Instead of being blocked, I would have loved an apology,” Dore said. “That would have been really refreshing to see from her. But I didn’t get that. But there’s always the reunion! You never know what’s gonna happen!”

Dore said Zaruba blocked her after the season began when a specific episode aired. Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 began with first mate Gary King and Zaruba, who was his deckhand, hooking up after the first charter. They laughed, admitting the hookup was a one-night stand. However, Zaruba fell for King. Meanwhile, he was falling for Dore, which sparked Zaruba’s competitive side.

“It was the episode, the one where she said she is fitter than me, prettier than me, and a better catch than me,” Dore recalled. “That episode.” The episode aired earlier in the season, which was when Gary King started to actively pursue Dore for a boatmance.

“I did actually really like Sydney,” Dore said. “I thought we had created a friendship. But then so many things happened. And that’s when she kind of got destroyed, I guess.” Adding, “You know, we both came on board thinking we’d become closest with each other. We found this out way, way down the track.”

Alli Dore found out that Sydney Zaruba’s actions and comments were passive-aggressive

Dore said they initially bonded over how they were both female deckhands. “So I was like, this girl is so my vibe,” Dore exclaimed. “She’s a traveler, she’s an adventurer. This girl is the girl I’m gonna become closest with! And then becoming closest with Daisy [Kelliher]. Apparently, Sydney said the same thing about me. But we are actually very incompatible in our personalities I learned.”

“So that’s just taking the love triangle away from all of it, I learned we actually function very differently,” Dore said. “I’m very direct. The way that I function is I feel like speaking my truth with someone is giving them the respect of knowing they can hear me. And they’re capable of hearing me without being offended.” Adding, “Sydney’s the opposite. She’s very passive-aggressive. And that is something I don’t click well with.”

Dore pulled away from King when she learned King and Zaruba had sex during that fateful night. But now King is openly flirting with Zaruba which looks like it will lead to an explosion on deck.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is on Monday at 9/8c on Bravo.
