‘Below Deck:’ What Will the ‘Below Deck Sailing Vessel’ Luxury Sailboat Be Like?

The Below Deck franchise is expanding, adding a luxury sailboat to the mix. Casting agents have already issued a call for new crew members. The rumored destination is likely to be around Cape Cod and the islands.

Until now, viewers have been treated to several magnificent superyachts. Guests and crew have explored the Mediterranean, Caribean and most recently, Tahiti. While the vessels in the past were considered to be motor yachts, this new vessel will be an entirely different animal.

Thankfully, Yacht Charter Fleet was able to obtain an exclusive sneak peek at the sailing vessel thought to debut during the series first season. The sailing yacht looks completely luxurious, but Yacht Charter Fleet points to an entirely different destination for the new show.

Is this the actual destination?

Rumors flew that the newest Below Deck installment would be filmed in New England. However, Yacht Charter Fleet suggests the new series could be filmed out of the country. Although Cape Cod is extremely picturesque, so are the coastlines of Italy.

That means guests and crew could be exploring areas like Portofino and the island of Sardinia instead of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Perhaps one clue that points to the series being filmed in Italy is because the sailing yacht is built in an Italian shipyard.

“Built by the highly esteemed Italian shipyard Perini Navi, Parsifal IIIboasts pedigree craftsmanship coupled with excellent on-board facilities.” Yacht Charter Fleet reports.

Luxury all the way

The sailing yacht, Parsifal III offers three slim decks, whereas Below Deck viewers and crew are used to about five. Amenities include a cool hydraulic swim deck that allows guests to dine practically on the water. Plus the yacht has a jacuzzi, beach club, plunge pool, and five tastefully designed cabins.

Design features include “dark ebony woodwork, light sycamore, stainless steel, and fine leather.” Approximately 12 guests can sleep comfortably aboard this 177.17ft /54m sailing yacht. The vessel requires about nine crew members, to occupy those “below deck” cabin accommodations.

This vessel would normally cost about $195,000 to charter for a week in the summer. And the Parsifal III is considered to be the most sought after sailing yacht on the market.

What kind of crew members will be needed?

Diana Wallace Casting recently posted a casting call looking for every position for the new series. “Now casting all positions of yachties with sailing experience for an amazing new opportunity!” according to the flyer.

Potential positions needed include the chef, stews, deckhands, first mates, a bosun, and a female deckhand. A recent flyer urged interested yachties to apply soon. “Do you have a passion for SAILING the open seas and the desire to travel to exotic locations while catering to some of the world’s most prestigious charter guests? If so, we might be looking for you!”

The easiest way to apply to be considered for the show is to email Diana Wallace directly. Her email address is: dianawallacecasting@gmail.com.
