Best LEGO Versions of Your Favorite Movie Trailers

LEGO Rogue One: A Star Wars Story official trailer | LEGO Motion Studios
The LEGO Batman Movie was just the latest example of an iconic character being reimagined as a LEGO toy. And while not every movie or character will get the LEGO treatment, you can still get your LEGO fix by watching fan-made LEGO versions of your favorite movie trailers. Many people have been recreating movie trailers of new movies shot by shot on YouTube. Some use the help of special effects, but it’s still great to see what you can make with the childhood toys. So what are the best LEGO movie trailers?
Here are 10 that made us wish that the movies themselves were recreated in this style.
1. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
The new movie expands the Harry Potter universe to tell the story of Newt Scamander, a wizard who has a briefcase full of fantastic beasts. However, his briefcase accidentally gets opened and those beasts are let out in New York City. The original trailer shows Eddie Redmayne in the main role and the adventure that lies ahead of him.
This LEGO trailer does a great job at getting things right almost shot by shot. It was made by LEGO Motion Studios, which has given the LEGO treatment to other big movies on their YouTube channel.
2. Doctor Strange
This movie is pretty full of CGI so it’s a harder task to pull off using the famous toys. However, this trailer gets everything perfectly without breaking the LEGO theme.
3. Ant-Man
There is something perfect about making Ant-Man’s story with LEGOs. The effect used to make him even smaller is pretty impressive.
4. Deadpool
This Deadpool trailer was pretty raunchy, so for it to be made with childhood toys is hilarious.
5. Captain America: Civil War
This one could pass as a possible future trailer for a sequel to The Lego Movie because it is full of comic book characters. Hopefully we will get this film one day!
6. Fifty Shades of Grey
LEGO fans took a break from making trailers for Marvel movies to make this insane trailer. The trailer for the actual movie wasn’t that good, but this version will at least make you laugh.
7. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Chances are you watched the trailer for Rogue One repeatedly because you couldn’t wait to see the movie. Well now there’s this amazing trailer that even gets the new droid perfectly.
8. X-Men: Apocalypse
Of course they had to do X-Men as well. Sadly, the whole scene with Quicksilver wasn’t also included.
9. Suicide Squad
Say what you will about the movie, but the trailer did have an interesting style. It’s even more fun in LEGO form.
10. Mad Max: Fury Road
The beautiful movie also had a great looking trailer so it’s tough to try to beat, but this is a cool effort!
