If Sean Penn’s Into the Wild came off as feeling all too accurate in terms of the Alaskan wilderness it depicted, that’s because it was shot on-site in the remote, snowy state. The production crew made four trips to Alaska throughout the shooting process, in an effort to capture the gorgeous scenery in a variety of different seasons.
