‘Queen of the Damned’
Queen of the Damned is another movie based on an Anne Rice novel. Good old Lestat (Stuart Townsend) wakes up after being asleep for some time and finds that the world has changed and he likes it. The new music awakens something within him, and he forms his own band. He starts revealing vampire secrets in his music and quickly makes a lot of enemies. He becomes a famous musician around the world and wakes up Queen Akasha (Aaliyah) from an ancient sleep. The mother of all vampires, she chooses Lestat to be her king.
Daybreakers is a unique look at the world full of vampires. In 2019, a plague takes over and turns humans into vampires. With the blood supply dwindling daily, they must find a way to survive. Humans become the minority as the vampires try to collect them up and farm them for resources. They come up with new ways to get the blood they so desperately need to survive.
The ‘Blade’ Trilogy
The Blade Trilogy is full of action-packed scenes with Wesley Snipes as Blade, who is half-human and half-vampire. Blade becomes the protector of humans from evil vampires. He forms alliances with them as well as vampire hunters at one point. Blade even takes on Dracula himself. These movies are full of nonstop action and are perfect for a weekend binge session.
