‘Better Call Saul’ Season 6 Image Reveals Return of 3 Popular Characters

At some point in 2022, Better Call Saul will air its sixth and final season. Created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, the series goes back in time to show how Saul Goodman became the “criminal” attorney first presented in Breaking Bad. As Better Call Saul Season 6 moves forward, a teaser image has emerged showing the return of three popular characters.

What we know about ‘Better Call Saul’ Season 6 so far

Ever since that stunning season 5 finale, fans have been eager to find out what happens next — from whether Lalo Salamanca will seek vengeance against Nacho Varga and if Kim Wexler is about to pull another con. But for all the excitement, there’s also some dread from fans who fear Saul might not have the happiest ending.

Actor Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman) has said he’s not yet aware of how everything ends, but he expects a lot of chaos in season 6. “I’m told that the wheels come off in Season 6 and it explodes in a million directions,” he previously told Collider. “That sounds to me like there’s a fair amount of violence, but I don’t know for a fact.”

“We have a discussion where my point of view is that Walter White became an angry, broken version of himself. I wonder if it would be possible to write — because I like the guy — I wonder if it would be possible to give Jimmy McGill a better ending, a better place to end in than he started in. I don’t know if they’re going to do that though,” he continued.

A teaser image for ‘Better Call Saul’ Season 6 reveals the return of three ‘terrifying dudes’

As production on the sixth season continues, the Twitter page for the show shared a photo showing Lalo sitting with Don Eladio and Juan Bolsa.

“Just three cool, terrifying dudes,” read the caption, which suggests the cartel members could be a part of some extreme storylines in season 6.

And they might not be the only ones showing up. With the show catching up to the Breaking Bad timeline, there’s been a lot of speculation that Walter White (Bryan Cranston) might pop up at some point.

Cranston has repeatedly stated he’d be open to reprising his role as the science teacher-turned-drug kingpin. Back in December 2020, he said on the podcast That Scene with Dan Patrick:

“I don’t know [if I’ll be on the show]. But I can assure you that if I was asked to be in it, I definitely would do it because Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould are very smart guys who protect their story and characters and they wouldn’t ask me to do something if it wasn’t something that would enhance a specific storyline or make it kind of real and cool.”

But that’s ultimately up to Gilligan and Gould. We’ll see what happens when the show returns in 2022.
