As hard as it may be to believe, this home is the least expensive one on their list of real estate investments. In 2018, the couple bought a stylish mansion in the heart of New Orleans’ Garden District for $2.6 million. Relatively speaking, this home is one of the cheapest they’ve purchased, regardless of the fact that it’s far beyond the budget of most working-class Americans.

Although the location of the home may seem a bit random, it actually makes sense that they purchased it. New Orleans is a lively city full of culture that makes it a fun vacation destination. Beyoncé is a Southern girl from Houston, Texas, so she’s sure to have an appreciation for the culture of the Gulf Coast. When you add in the fact that her sister, Solange Knowles, is based in New Orleans, it’s only logical that she’d feel inclined to purchase a property close to her kin.

They purchased a home in the Hamptons for $26 million

Prior to purchasing their New Orleans residence, Beyonce and Jay-Z forked over $26 million for a massive mansion in the Hamptons. While this may seem like a ridiculous price for anyone to pay for a home, one must realize that the cost is largely attributed to its location.

The Hamptons is one of the world’s most exclusive vacation spots and is known for its wild summer parties. Celebrities and billionaires alike frequently spend their summers in the Hamptons, so it makes sense that the homes there have high asking prices.

The home has 12,000 square feet and features 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, and views overlooking a pond, according to Curbed.

The Carters rented a Malibu compound for $400,000 a month

This home is by far one of the most impressive on their list of residences. After the birth of their twins, Sir and Rumi, and while searching for their permanent Los Angeles home in 2017, the Carters rented an enormous Malibu compound for a whopping $400,000 a month.

Named La Villa Contenta, the 6.5-acre estate had 10 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms, and featured specs including Pacific Ocean views, a desert, a rose garden, an infinity pool, tennis courts, and a greenhouse, according to CNBC. The house was later purchased by another buyer for $50 million.

Queen Bey and Hova purchased an $88 Million kingdom in Bel-Air

Last on the list—but certainly not least—is Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s primary residence, an $88 million mansion in LA’s Bel-Air neighborhood. This asking price for their home was so outrageous that it was actually listed as LA’s most expensive real estate transaction of 2017, according to the LA Times.

However ridiculous the home’s cost may seem, it’s not without reason; the 8 bedroom home encompasses six buildings, several pools, a basketball court, a tennis court, and separate staff quarters. If this doesn’t sound like a kingdom, then what does?
