Beyoncé Just Got Candid About Her Body Image

Though she’s one of the biggest stars on the globe, Beyoncé Knowles Carter is notoriously private. During her early career with Destiny’s Child and her first years as a solo artist, the “Love On Top” legend was happy to give candid interviews. However, that has changed drastically in recent years.

As she’s gotten older and has become a wife and mother, Beyoncé‘s main focus has been on her career and having some sense of normalcy in her private life. Though she and her rapper hubby, Jay-Z, have shared snippets of their private life and their three children — Sir, Rumi, and Blue — most of the time fans are left in the dark.

Now, ahead of her IVY PARK x Adidas collection release, Beyoncé is getting more vulnerable than ever, letting the BeyHive into all of her secrets, including how she feels about her body.

Beyoncé has no problem sneaking into a bodega or Target

Beyoncé has been spotted roaming around Target and other stores. We can only assume it makes her feel more normal — that her life isn’t under a microscope for just a few minutes. When she’s not preparing for a performance or tour, The Gift songstress loves to indulge just like us.

“The last time I went to a supermarket, it was more like a bodega before a Madonna concert,” she revealed to Elle. “Jay and I snuck into one in Crenshaw and bought some Cuervo and Funyuns chips. And…y’all know you see me at Target and I see y’all trying to sneak pics.”

Beyoncé has embraced her curves

In 2018, just one year after having her twins, Rumi and Sir, The Lion King actress went on an extreme diet and exercise regimen to prepare for her stellar Homecoming performance at Coachella. In her Netflix documentary, Beyoncé revealed she would never do something so extreme again.

“If someone told me 15 years ago that my body would go through so many changes and fluctuations, and that I would feel more womanly and secure with my curves, I would not have believed them,” she told Elle. “But children and maturity have taught me to value myself beyond my physical appearance and really understand that I am more than enough no matter what stage I’m at in life.”

She went on to say that it’s “liberating” to see beauty beyond outer appearance.

“I wish more people focused on discovering the beauty within themselves rather than critiquing other folks’ grills,” she said.

These are Beyoncé’s favorite foods

Though she has a vegan diet when she’s in performance mode, the “Sorry” songstress can’t say no to one thing: Oreos. Also, if you thought she had to have some fancy breakfast every morning, think again. The queen loves to start her day with granola and pecan cereal.
