Beyoncé’s New Wax Statue at Madame Tussauds Is Standing Next To Meghan Markle and the Royal Family

We’ve all been calling her Queen Bey for years. But now Beyoncé is enjoying a place of that’s literally made for royalty.
Well, her likeness is anyway. In a surprising yet delightful move, Madam Tusaauds London made the decision to place their new and surprisingly realistic wax statue of Beyoncé in a place of honor next to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, and Prince Philip.
“Take your throne, Queen Bey,” they captioned an Instagram post that shared the news.
Queen Elizabeth was intentionally excluded from the group
The implication of including every single royal family member besides Queen Elizabeth in the setup and placing Beyoncé up front and center is clear. The Grammy-winning songstress is meant to take the place of Her Majesty.
According to Madame Tussaud’s website, it was because they, “decided the only fitting way to laud official music royalty is to position her on the most regal of all stages alongside her Royal pals, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
General manager at Madame Tussauds London, Steve Davies said, “Beyoncé is a living legend, rightly crowned Queen Bey by her legions of fans and industry insiders. If anyone is fitting of a claim to The Queen’s spot in our attraction for the very first time, it’s Beyoncé.”
Is Queen Elizabeth upset that Beyoncé took her place?
The museum isn’t afraid of Queen Elizabeth getting angry about the swap, either — they’re counting on Her Majesty’s renowned sense of humor to see the whole stunt as the silly joke it’s meant to be.

“HRH Queen Elizabeth II is famous for her mischievous sense of humour … a wry smile will cross her face when she sees that music royalty has temporarily filled her shoes,” Davies predicted.
You can only see Beyoncé with the royals for a short time
Alas, all good things must come to an end. Beyoncé’s wax figure will only enjoy this unlikely positioning for one day before being moved to a musical sound stage.
But it’s definitely worth going to check out her new statue even at a later date. Beyoncé’s wax figure has a remarkable resemblance to the 38-year-old celebrity. Early versions of her wax figures were universally slammed by fans, but this one is already receiving rave reviews from the Beyhive. You’d swear she was standing right next to you.
The Madame Tussauds exhibit is probably Meghan Markle-approved
Remember when Meghan Markle made headlines by giving Beyoncé a hug at the Lion King movie premiere? It’s clear that these two women have a lot in common, including fierce personalities and zero time for drama. Their meeting was a pivotal moment for so many fans.
Though she didn’t comment on it publicly, we can imagine that Meghan Markle doesn’t mind one bit to have her wax statue stationed so closely to her new friend Beyoncé. Even if it’s only for a single day.
