‘Big Brother 21:’ Evicted Houseguests Will No Longer Leave the House
Big Brother 21 Episode 5 picked up after Sam won the Veto Competition, and executed the power to save Cliff. Therefore, Christie had to nominate another person, and she chose Ovi. However, her decision went against Jack, who wanted her to backdoor Kemi.
The houseguests will soon realize that whoever they evict will continue to live in the house as part of Camp Comeback. What is Camp Comeback, and does this mean David returns to the house? Keep reading to find out!
Ovi campaigned to stay in the house
Ovi was confused and upset that Christie nominated him for elimination because they recently created an alliance together. However, she told him, and the other nominee Kathryn, that they are both pawns so whoever comes back in the house won’t be mad at her. Even though Jack wanted Christie to backdoor Kemi, he told Michie he respected her decision.
Former student body president Ovi went to work campaigning to guarantee his safety. Cliff made it clear he was on Ovi’s side, but Kemi, Nicole, and Nick didn’t give him a straight answer. Realizing that the numbers weren’t in his favor, he went to the two people he believes are the most powerful in the house, Jack and Michie. He told them he had the Nightmare Power and explained what that meant. Ovi then promised to use it to save them if they were nominated.
Ovi evicted in a unanimous decision
Ovi’s proposal initially enticed Michie. He realized that if anyone outside of Gr8ful won the Head of Household competition, they could find themselves on the chopping block as soon as next week. However, Jack said Ovi still had to go.
While Ovi campaigned and tried to make deals with people, Kathryn ran around asking the other houseguests repeatedly if they were conspiring against her. Michie, Christie, and Holly began to get irritated because they already promised her safety. Even though Holly and Michie grew annoyed with Kathryn’s paranoid behavior, the Gr8ful alliance, and all the other houseguests, including Cliff, voted to evict Ovi.
The introduction of Camp Comeback
After confirming Ovi’s eviction to the house, host Julie Chen Moonves called the houseguests back to the living room and explained Camp Comeback. She said for the first time in Big Brother history, the contestants will not leave the house after elimination. Instead, they will continue to live in the Big Brother house, upstairs in an uncomfortable cabin.
Comeback campers are not allowed to participate in any challenges including Head of Household and the Veto competition. However, they can listen in on, but not watch, the action. She also explained the evicted houseguests do continue to play the Big Brother social game. Then, one out of the first eliminated contestants can earn their way back into the game.
David came back into the house after Michie banished him into the forest, and joined Ovi in Camp Comeback. After they listened to the Veto competition, Moonves talked to the evicted houseguests. Ovi told her he had no bad blood towards anyone for voting him out and understands everyone’s playing a game. David admitted he wanted to talk to Michie first because he wants to figure out Michie’s ultimate plan.
