‘Big Brother 21’: Kemi Fakunle and Isabella Wang React to Jack Matthews Eviction After His Nasty Comments

Big Brother 21 was full of controversy mostly because of how Jack Matthews was talking about other houseguests. There was a petition to get him removed after how he talked about Kemi Fakunle. That didn’t happen and he went on to say something about Isabella Wang.

These comments weren’t on the show, but on live feeds. That all changed when Jack Matthews was evicted and Julie Chen Moonves confronted him about them. Find out how Fakunle and Wang reacted to his eviction online and more.

Jessica Milagros got what she wanted by evicting Matthews as Head of Household. Fans got what they wanted when Julie Chen Moonves showed clips of his offensive comments about Fakunle.

“In recap, you called her b*tch, you called her dog poop — you didn’t use the word ‘poop’ — and we just heard you say you wanted to ‘stomp a mud hole through her chest.’ Watching that now, what are your thoughts?” asked the host.

Matthews said, “OK, well, I will say that the ‘stomp the mud hole’ comment is based on something that Sam [Bledsoe] said last season when she was frustrated, and I don’t think there was any personal vendetta behind saying that. I think my statements were playful in a group of people. I do apologize for what I said, and that’s very sincere. I think Kemi was, and is, a great person.”

Another clip was shown of Matthews referring to “rice pudding” when talking about Wang with other houseguests. He claimed there was more context to his comment.

“There was the slop thing going on and people were making different recipes earlier in that evening, mainly Tommy [Bracco] and Christie [Murphy],” he said. “And ‘rice pudding’ was spoken about and slop pudding. And so earlier in that evening, rice and slop pudding were going around, so Tommy bringing it up in that situation made me say it there. It had nothing — absolutely nothing — to do with her ethnicity whatsoever.”

Kemi Fakunle posted a video celebrating

It’s probably not surprising that Fakunle celebrated when it was announced that Matthews was evicted from the Big Brother house. She posted a video on Instagram of her cheering saying, “Bye Jack!” She then turned the camera on herself and said “Goodbye” as she blew a kiss. The video had the words “Hit the road, Jack!!!” over it.

The evicted houseguest also tweeted “Hey @JulieChen! Hope you shout me out tonight.” She got what she wanted by the host asking Matthews his reason behind his comments. She later tweeted, “Thanks babe @JulieChen.”

Isabella Wang tweeted that she didn’t want to be labeled

Fakunle wasn’t the only one who gave a response to the interview online. Wang responded on Twitter to a clip of the host showing the clip of his rice pudding comment with “Define people by their character not their ethnicity. Don’t label me.”

Wang and Fakunle are completely out of the game. Matthews will go into jury and be able to vote on the winner at the end of the season.
