In the last Big Brother 21 episode, Ovi realized people were beginning to form bonds, and he was the odd ball out. He ended up overhearing members of the significant alliance, Gr8ful, talking about their plans, and unknowingly made a deal with half the people in Gr8ful. He also won the Nightmare Whactivity, giving him a secret power to unleash on the other campers in the middle of the night.
In Big Brother 21 Episode 4, six lucky campers competed in their first Veto competition, and Big Brother Season 20 winner, Kaycee Clark, came over to host it. Also, Michie and Kathryn may be the season’s first showmance. Who caught the most food and won the Power of Veto? Keep reading to find out.
Who competed in the ‘Big Brother 21’ Veto competition?
In the Veto competition, six people participate. They are the Head of Household, the two nominees for elimination, and three people chosen at random. The Head of Household, Christie, drew Sam’s name out of the box, nominee Cliff selected HouseGuest Choice, and he picked Jack, and the other nominee, Kathryn, chose Nicole’s name.
The campers are playing “Food Fight” with Clark hosting it. The goal of the competition is to catch all of her favorite foods, while other treats are pelting them. Each food caught earns that houseguest points, and whoever has the most points at the end of three rounds wins.
Unfortunately, Cliff, Kat, and Nicole couldn’t catch anything, and they ended with zero points. However, Christie caught a strawberry, worth 10 points, and Jack caught two strawberries, so he finished with 20 points. Sam won the Veto competition by catching two strawberries and one onion.
Christie wants the Veto winner not to use their power
Jack and Nick, of the Gr8ful alliance, talk to Sam to find out how he’s planning on using his newfound power. The boys want Sam to eliminate Cliff. However, he wants to save the eldest houseguest. Sam feels like Cliff is a father, like himself, and deserves to be there.
Therefore, Jack turns to alliance member Christie and tried to convince her to backdoor Kemi, and nominate her for elimination when Sam saves Cliff. At first, Christie is on board until she believes Jack is manipulating her. She doesn’t want Kemi to go because she genuinely likes her, and Bella, another Gr8ful member, is also friends with her.
Jack bullying Christie into backdooring Kemi frustrated her, and she ended up crying to Sam. She asked him not to use his power. However, Sam already promised other people that he would execute the Veto on Cliff, and doesn’t want to go back on his word so soon. But, he also doesn’t want to upset Christie and her “group.” Therefore, he suggested she nominate either Jack or Ovi.
Will the Veto winner use their power?
At the Veto Ceremony, Sam stayed true to his word and saved Cliff from elimination. Therefore, Kathryn is still on the chopping block, and Christie had to nominate someone else. She contemplated putting up the two boys Sam suggested, and considered choosing Jack because he’s a “master manipulator.” Christie also admitted to Sam that she wanted Jack gone.
However, she ended up choosing Ovi because “he’s a mystery,” and it seems like he’s working with everyone and no one at the same time. Ovi has the nightmare power he won in the Whactivity challenge. However, he can only use it after nominations, not after a Veto ceremony. Therefore, Ovi is planning on campaigning to stay in the house.
