‘Big Brother’: This Former Houseguest Has an Intriguing Idea for a Future Season of the Show

This winner’s idea and how fans have reacted

Derrick Levasseur, the winner of Big Brother‘s sixteenth season, tweeted about having The Challenge contestants on a season of Big Brother. He said, “We’ve seen Big Brother players on The Challenge. I’m ready to see Challenger players on Big Brother.”

Fans seemed to be split, with some agreeing and some disagreeing with Levasseur’s idea. “Noooo please no! Recognized/already famous people shouldn’t get to play BB unless it’s ALL reality tv stars. They would automatically get AFP and/or America’s Vote advantages. Let us regular, normal people get casted and have the same playing field,” said one fan.

Another said, “That actually sounds like a fun idea to see Challenge players on Big Brother but I am afraid they kill each other within the first hour or hooking up with other people LOL.”

One fan brought up the differences between the two competitions, saying, “I think it’ll be harder for challenge players to be on big brother the challenge is more physical while big brother is more mental.”

Many ‘Big Brother’ cast members go on to appear on ‘The Challenge’

It is very common, especially in recent years, for Big Brother houseguests to move on to being a contestant on The Challenge. After only featuring alumni of The Real World, and then later expanding to other VH1 and MTV reality shows, the show introduced former Big Brother houseguests in season 31 in 2018. Later seasons expanded to include folks from shows like ABC’s The Bachelorette, Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules, and many others.

The show was initially called Road Rules: All Stars and Real World/Road Rules Challenge. Up until season 20, the show only featured alumni from the two shows. Each season has a different format and showcases the contestants competing in extreme challenges.

Big Brother 18‘s Victor Arroyo and Natalie Negrotti were the first two houseguests to be on The Challenge 31. For The Challenge 32, Negrotti, Big Brother 17 and 18’s Da’Vonne Rogers, and Big Brother 18‘s Jozea Flores and Paulie Calafiore were featured.

Rogers, Negrotti, Calafiore, Big Brother 17‘s Julia and Liz Nolan, Big Brother 19‘s Josh Martinez and Big Brother: Over The Top‘s Morgan Willett were castmembers for The Challenge 33. For the 34th season, Martinez and Calafiore returned.

For the upcoming season of The Challenge, former houseguests like Big Brother 20‘s Chris “Swaggy C” Williams and Bayleigh Dayton are rumored to appear.
