‘BIP’: Dean Unglert Is Changing Caelynn Miller-Keyes, But Is She Changing Him?
Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes are still going strong after getting together on the last season of Bachelor In Paradise. Fans can’t help but pick up on a few notable changes that have occurred in Miller-Keyes since they started dating. The former pageant queen is now embracing the van life, wearing less makeup, and seems to have been bitten by the travel bug–all thanks to Unglert.
In interviews since the BIP finale, Miller-Keyes has spoken about all the ways in which Unglert challenges her.
“Dean told me if I didn’t wear makeup to the reunion he’d take me to the Maldives. I wear like a little bit of concealer, blush. I felt very vulnerable but he challenges me in that way, too,” she told Access in September.
In the same interview, she also spoke about how Unglert’s helping her to embrace her adventurous side.
Caelynn Miller-Keyes doesn’t know if she’s taught Dean Unglert anything
Miller-Keyes was recently interviewed by former bachelor Nick Viall on his podcast, The Viall Files. She spoke about how Ungert’s changed her and if she’s changed him.
Viall asked Miller-Keyes how she’s impacted her new boyfriend’s life.
“He’s becoming more vulnerable a little bit. We both are because we both suck at it. I think he’s becoming more vulnerable than I am. He’s always very honest. He’s a good communicator. I don’t know what I’ve taught him though. I don’t know,” she said.
How Dean Unglert’s changed since dating Caelynn Miller-Keyes
Viall mentioned Unglert’s tendency to be self-centered. He asked Miller-Keyes if the van dweller is considering her feelings in their relationship.
“I think that’s a huge thing that’s changed, yeah. That’s one thing that’s changed drastically from that time in Europe to our relationship now. It really does feel like a partnership vs. me just catering to him. He does think of me and, like you said, he has the biggest heart. He treats me very, very well. I think people would not be surprised to know that, but he is a really good boyfriend,” she said.
Miller-Keyes also said that she’s helping Unglert with his tardiness.
“We went to an event together the other day and his manager was like ‘I think he’s only early because of you. You’re 30 minutes early.’ But I get really stressed if I’m late. He’s never on time. There’s one thing we’re working on,” she said.
Miller-Keyes continued: “We’ll have to be somewhere at 6. It’s 5:40 and he’s just scrolling on Instagram. And I’m like ‘What are you doing? We gotta go!’ He just has no sense of urgency. I told him this the other day, I was like ‘You know I really admire that you’re never in a rush for anything but sometimes you gotta go somewhere, you gotta be somewhere.’”
We think Miller-Keyes is changing Unglert more than she gives herself credit. He’s learning how to be in a relationship, he’s learning how to be on time, he’s learning how to open up. All things he wouldn’t have challenged himself on if Miller-Keyes weren’t in the picture.
