‘BIP’: Dean Unglert Had the Best Response to a Follower Trolling Him for His Day of the Dead Costume
While there were quite a few couples from Bachelor in Paradise who seemed over-the-moon in love, we know a few fan favorites have recently broken up. John Paul Jones and Tayshia Adams announced their separation, as did Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty. There are still couples going strong, though — and one of them is Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes. Unglert and Miller-Keyes left Paradise early to pursue a relationship together after a rocky start. And now, they’re both posting all about each other on Instagram.
Unglert’s Instagram is getting more attention than ever before. Recently, one of his followers trolled him for his Day of the Dead costume — and Unglert had a great response back. Here’s what happened.
Dean Unglert is quite responsive to his Instagram followers
All of the BIP stars have quite the social media presence now that they’ve been on another season of reality TV. And Unglert has always been a fan favorite since he first appeared on Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette. Fans felt for Unglert when they learned about his difficult home life and how he lost his mother to cancer. Unfortunately, fans turned on him after he became involved with two women during his first season of Bachelor in Paradise.
He’s gained favor back thanks to his relationship with Miller-Keyes, however. And now, he’s posting all of his current travels in his van to Instagram, where his followers are commenting. Recently, one of his followers mentioned Unglert’s father in a comment, and Unglert wrote back. On another occasion, a fan questioned how Unglert makes his cash if he doesn’t have a stable job and travels around in his van. Unglert noticed that comment and responded with, “i won the lottery.”
Miller-Keyes and Unglert had the best Halloween costumes
Halloween has come and gone, but Bachelor Nation fans are still reeling over Unglert and Miller-Keyes’ couples’ costume. This post from Unglert shows how he dressed up as Miller-Keyes for Halloween when she first met Colton Underwood on The Bachelor. And Miller-Keyes’ costume was of Unglert with his mustache and beanie on and his van in tow. “Just a dirtbag and his beauty queen,” Miller-Keyes captioned her post of her and Unglert on Halloween — and fans went absolutely wild.
As one of Miller-Keyes’ followers commented, “this is probably the best thing i’ve ever seen.” Another wrote, “This the best Halloween duo I’ve ever seen.” And plenty of other Bachelor nation stars saw the costume and also thought it was incredible. Caroline Lunny, Nicole Lopez-Alvar, and Ali Manno all made their comments on Miller-Keyes’ post, too.
A follower tried to troll Unglert for his Day of the Dead costume
While Miller-Keyes and Unglert often take trips together, it seems Unglert set out for Mexico after Halloween without his girlfriend. He posted a photo of himself to Instagram in skull makeup with snow goggles covering his face, and the caption of the post reads, “celebración de día de los muertos con mis amigos en mexico.” That translates to, “Day of the Dead celebration with my friends in Mexico.”
Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday that takes place from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2., and it’s common for those celebrating to wear sugar skull makeup. While many of Unglert’s followers praised him for taking part in the celebration, he did find a need to snarkily comment back to one follower. As one person commented, “It’s not halloween anymore f*** face.” To that, Unglert wrote back, “it’s día de los muertos, f*** face ;).”
Many were in support of Unglert after his comment, too. “Its nice to see you are enjoying and embracing the Mexican culture,” another said in response. Yet another wrote, “always livin’ in the comments section for your responses.”
This is far from the first time we’ve seen Unglert come at a follower for their rude commentary, and we’re sure it’s far from the last time we’ll see it, too. And we’re hoping Unglert had a wonderful trip to Mexico for the holiday!
