‘BiP’: Fans Are Questioning if Kristina Schulman Moved Back to Kentucky on Instagram

This past season of Bachelor in Paradise was truly one for the books, as we saw drama, heartbreak, and a few unexpected engagements by the end of the season. Kristina Schulman’s been on Paradise in the past, but she arrived this season with a bone to pick in regards to Blake Horstmann’s behavior. After that was settled, she attempted to find love and stay on the beach for as long as possible via “friendship roses” with Horstmann, but it just wasn’t in the cards for her. Regardless, her stern attitude this season caused quite a lot of fan reactions, as it wasn’t the typical attitude we’ve seen from Schulman before.

Now, Schulman’s still sharing her life on Instagram. And it seems fans think she may have moved back to her home state given what she’s been posting recently. Here’s what they’re talking about.

Kristina Schulman has quite an interesting back story

The Bachelor shows have been slammed for not including much diversity in their casting, but Kristina Schulman was certainly unlike many other contestants. Heavy reminded us Schulman came on to Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor explaining that she was from Russia, and when she was adopted she came to the U.S. Her childhood also appeared to be quite tragic, as she never knew her mother and experienced a great deal of neglect as a youth before her adoption. One specific story Schulman told involved her mother telling her not to eat anything all day — and when Schulman admitted to eating, her mother ordered her to leave the home.

As for Schulman’s adopted parents, she speaks very highly of them and growing up in her home city of Lexington, Kentucky. “It takes courage to open your heart and home to four orphans and give them a life otherwise unobtainable,” Schulman said on the show.

Dean Unglert visited Schulman in her Kentucky hometown once

While Viall and Schulman didn’t work out, we can’t forget that Dean Unglert and Schulman were quite serious when they met on Bachelor in Paradise. During a lull in filming, it was reported that Unglert also visited Schulman in her Kentucky hometown. Unfortunately, we know that Unglert and Schulman didn’t work out. Schulman left Paradise the first time after Unglert was getting involved in a love triangle. After the show, they did continue their relationship, but they decided to part ways after realizing just how different they were.

Unglert is happily with Caelynn Miller-Keyes now, and during the latest season of BiP, there was barely any interaction between Unglert and Schulman. But Unglert did note that he thought he’d marry Schulman one day. “I was genuinely in love with her, it just is one of those things that didn’t work out. There were times where I was convinced that she was going to be my wife, we were going to have a future together, have kids, and all that kind of stuff and then as time progressed and things moved on, we began to, like, show each other sides of ourselves that we hadn’t seen ….,” Unglert said on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast.

Fans are wondering if she moved back to her home state

There’s no doubt Schulman has a lot of pride for her home state — and fans are even wondering if she moved back after seeing some of her latest Instagram content. On this photo of her wearing autumnal colors for a fall wedding, a fan commented, “KY looks good on you.” To that, Schulman answered, “love coming back home.” And Schulman added another photo in her home state of Kentucky after that, too. Many took to that photo to tell her they missed her while she was in Keeneland, which is an internationally renowned horse race track.

So, is she back home for good? According to Schulman, she’s just there for a visit. “Kristina!! Did you move back to KY?” a fan questioned on the most recent photo. “I didn’t, was visiting for the weekend,” Schulman answered.

She may not be permanently in Kentucky, but she’ll always be a Southern girl at heart despite her current Los Angeles location. With any luck, perhaps she’ll be The Bachelorette in the future.
