‘BiP’: Kristina Schulman Just Said What She Thinks of Dean Unglert Now
This past season of Bachelor in Paradise may be over, but we’re still obsessed with the couples who managed to find true love. And a fan-favorite couple to come out of the beaches of Mexico is Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Dean Unglert. When Miller-Keyes first arrived on the beach, she was still hung up on her relationship with Blake Horstmann that occurred outside of the show — but everything changed when she met Unglert. Through their ups and downs, Unglert and Miller-Keyes eventually decided to leave the beach together and are now happy in their relationship.
Before Miller-Keyes, we can’t forget that Unglert had relations with several other Bachelor Nation women. And on a previous season of Paradise, he was with Kristina Schulman. Here’s what Schulman just said she thinks of Unglert now that he’s with Miller-Keyes.
Kristina Schulman and Dean Unglert were in a love triangle on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’
After Dean Unglert was on Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette, he attempted to find love on both The Bachelor Winter Games and the fourth season of Bachelor in Paradise. And it was in Paradise when he hit it off with Kristina Schulman. The two seemed perfect for each other, and Unglert even visited Schulman’s hometown when production on the season ceased briefly. Unfortunately, everything changed when Danielle Lombard entered Paradise, as Unglert found himself in a love triangle amongst the two women.
The season didn’t end positively for Unglert. Unglert was caught kissing Lombard and asked Schulman to be patient with him while he figured out what he wanted. And Schulman decided to leave the show altogether after Unglert decided to pursue Lombard. After that, Unglert seemed to have major regrets about his decision, but the damage was done.
Unglert admitted he was in love with Schulman
Unglert recently talked about his relationship with Schulman on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast — and he dished that he cared about Schulman more than many realized. “I liked Kristina a lot, it’s just we were so incompatible … in every aspect of who we are as individuals. I was genuinely in love with her, it just is one of those things that didn’t work out,” Unglert told the podcast hosts. “There were times where I was convinced that she was going to be my wife, we were going to have a future together, have kids, and all that kind of stuff and then as time progressed and things moved on, we began to, like, show each other sides of ourselves that we hadn’t seen ….”
Schulman went on the same podcast and talked about her relationship with Unglert, too. And Schulman seemed a bit surprised by Unglert’s confession. As she told the podcast hosts, “We’ve never said it to each other. I didn’t know. It was never verbalized but the feeling was mutual.”
Here’s how Schulman feels about Unglert now
So, after all is said and done, how does Schulman feel about Unglert now that she’s so removed from their past relationship? “I think we’re good,” Schulman told fellow Paradise star Demi Burnett who co-hosted the episode. “We haven’t spoken since Paradise, and I wish him happiness. I think he’s doing well, he sounds better, and I’m almost, like, proud, because seeing him now, he seems to be a better version of himself.”
Schulman also answered where she stands with Miller-Keyes now, too. “I’m indifferent, it’s just, there are certain people you want to keep in your life — quality over quantity, so, she’s not one of those.” We know Schulman and Miller-Keyes had some beef due to drama at Stagecoach Festival, so this answer wasn’t too surprising.
It doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing Schulman hanging around with either Miller-Keyes or Unglert at any events any time soon, but we’re glad they all seem to be amicable toward each other now!
