‘Birds of Prey’: Megan Thee Stallion and Normani Are Contributing to the DC Comics Film in This Way
With the DC Comics movie Birds of Prey set for release very soon, it is no surprise that news about the music for the film is beginning to be unveiled. It has been revealed that of the biggest new acts of the moment, Megan Thee Stallion and Normani, will be a part of the film.

Birds of Prey is a a group of DC Comics films known as the DC Extended Universe. It is the eighth film in the universe and sees Margot Robbie reprising her role as Harley Quinn. She is joined by Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Helena Bertinelli aka Huntress and Jurnee Smollett Bell as Dinah Lance aka Black Canary.
The film also stars Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, and Ewan McGregor as Roman Sionis aka Black Mask.
Birds of Prey takes places after the events that happened in Suicide Squad, after Harley Quinn has left the Joker. The film will be released in theaters on February 7, 2020.
Megan Thee Stallion and Normani are on the film’s lead single
Fans minds started wondering once Megan Thee Stallion posted a series of photos on Instagram, including one with Normani. The photo was captioned, “I’m not sure if I attract crazy or I makem that way @birdsofprey.” From the caption, it was clear that the rapper and singer would be doing something music-related on Birds of Prey.
Shortly thereafter, the song’s co-writers, Kameron Glasper and Tayla Parx revealed more about the song on Instagram. Glapser says that the song is titled “Diamonds,” and it is Megan Thee Stallion featuring Normani. He said that the song is the lead single for the film’s soundtrack.
Given that the film is due in February, we could hear the song very soon. It should be out by mid-January at the latest. Also, it is clear that Megan and Normani have shot a video for it, so it looks like there will be a full-fledged single campaign for the track.
