Will Tobias Whale break out of the Pit somehow after ‘Black Lightning’ season 3 episode 8?

In Black Lightning season 3 episode 8, Tobias continued to taunt Lynn Stewart with his knowledge of Agent Odell and the A.S.A’s plans. He believes that the metahumans that Lynn is working on stabilizing will be used as human weapons. She says she knows, and he suggests that she help him break out by giving him camouflaging powers. After all, she needs his DNA to stabilize the metahumans, so without him being locked up, she couldn’t stabilize them and then they couldn’t be used as weapons.

It’s a good plan, but will it happen? Will Tobias actually break out of the Pit? Lynn managed to get out with Peter Gambi’s help, but will Tobias manage to get free? It could go either way.

Lynn could agree to help Tobias, if only so the metahumans she’s taking care of won’t be used as weapons by the A.S.A. However, Lynn probably doesn’t trust Tobias and hopefully knows that he’s just using her to escape from captivity. Tobias certainly cannot be trusted to keep any deal they would agree to.

Is Lynn Stewart’s working relationship with the A.S.A. over after ‘Black Lightning’ season 3 episode 8?

The previous question makes us consider another: will Lynn even be able to help Tobias break out of the Pit? Her access has been revoked and the A.S.A. was trying to lock her in at the end of Black Lightning season 3 episode 8. If it wasn’t for Gambi’s help she wouldn’t have gotten out of there. So is her working relationship with the A.S.A over?

Right now, it seems to be. It looks like it is the first consequence of Jefferson as Black Lightning joining the resistance against the A.S.A. Then again, the A.S.A. might need Lynn’s help with stabilizing the metahumans and may plan on using her somehow to help with the war against Markovia. Maybe they want to force her to create some kind of weapon.

Or they could plan on using her to get Jefferson to cooperate with them again. Either way, the A.S.A. might not be done with Lynn at all.

Will Anissa Pierce tell her sister Jennifer that Khalil Payne is alive?

In Black Lightning season 3 episode 8, Anissa realized that Painkiller, the A.S.A. agent who almost killed her, is really Khalil Payne, Jennifer Pierce’s boyfriend. Since Khalil is supposed to be dead, this probably shocked Anissa but she didn’t have much time to process it as she had to continue fighting him. She managed to defeat him, but she’s probably still surprised at this turn of events. The question is: will she tell Jennifer?

The two sisters are very close and it seems like something that Anissa might want to tell Jennifer. On the other hand, Lynn and Gambi know about him and haven’t told Jennifer. Anissa may not tell her either, if only to save her little sister the heartbreak.

Hopefully, these questions will be answered after Black Lightning season 3 episode 8. It would be interesting to find out if Tobias will break out of the Pit, if Lynn’s working relationship with the A.S.A. is over, and if Anissa will tell Jennifer about Khalil now that she’s definitely recognized him.
