‘Blue Bloods’: How Vanessa Ray Got Help Picking Eddie’s Wedding Dress
Blue Bloods fans have been waiting a long time for police partners, Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray) and Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) to officially become a couple. Now the characters are getting married and planning their wedding. It has been revealed how Vanessa Ray got help picking Eddie’s wedding dress for the show so here is everything you need to know.
Vanessa Ray said her husband, Landon Beard and Bridget Moynahan helped her pick Eddie’s wedding dress
The Blue Bloods actress revealed that she had different people come in during her costume fittings for the big episode. One of which was Bridget Moynahan who plays Erin Reagan. Ray also said she “snuck in” her husband, Landon Beard to get his opinion on wedding dresses, according to TV Insider.
Of course, a wedding dress is very different from what police officer Eddie Janko typically wears. “I forgot what my body looked like in real clothes,” joked Ray.
It’s unknown whether Will Estes got to see the wedding dress before filming any scenes together. But it wouldn’t be surprising if he didn’t since he knew Jamie was going to propose and surprised Vanessa Ray when filming their scene.
Eddie and Jamie had some trouble deciding their wedding venue on Blue Bloods
The TV couple has been all over the place when it comes to wedding planning. At first, it seemed like they would get hitched in the Reagan family’s church.
“Why not St. Andrews?” suggested Henry (Lou Cariou) in the episode, “Stirring the Pot.” “I got married there. We go to church there every Sunday. That’s about as strong a family tradition as you could ask for.” The two seemed to be okay with that idea but things changed in a later episode, “Milestones.”
Jamie revealed that he might want to do something smaller for the occasion. “We could spend $100,000 on all of this or we can get married at the courthouse,” suggested Jamie to Eddie. “We can have brunch at my dad’s. With the money, we save we could buy a house.” He then added, “I just think we’re more practical than blowing tens of thousands of dollars on a day. Seems like a waste.”
This made Eddie upset, but things later took a turn with the two meeting at a restaurant. “I am sorry for the way I went about it and not coming to you sooner,” Jamie said apologizing to Eddie. “But I’m always gonna be the guy worried about our bills and how to take care of our family ten years from now. Part of that’s just who I am.”
He then suggested the restaurant as a compromise for their wedding venue. We will have to wait and see if that actually works out.
Fans might see which wedding dress Eddie will pick on the Blue Bloods episode airing on Feb. 1. It will definitely be a different look for the character no matter what she picks.
