‘Blue Bloods’: Is the Show Hinting That Danny Could Have More Kids in the Future?

Linda Reagan (Amy Carlson) has died two years ago. Since then, Blue Bloods has shown how her husband, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and their two sons are living afterward.

Someone has tried to get Danny to start thinking about dating again, and now a recent episode might have hinted what else could be in store. Is Blue Bloods hinting that Danny could have more kids in the future? Here is everything you need to know.

Anthony Abetemarco found out he has a half-brother

In the episode, “Past Tense” a man named Leo Stutz shows up to Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan)’s office looking for Anthony (Steve Schirripa). He claimed to be his half-brother, but Anthony didn’t think he had one.

“I was the little kid you used to call ‘Leo the Leech’ cause I hung around you even after you told me to get lost,” explained Leo. “I remember Leo the Leech. He was a lot shorter,” said Anthony.

It turns out the two lived only two blocks away from each other growing up. Leo then explained how the two are related. “My mom had a problem playing the ponies down at Freehold, got in real deep to your dad. One day he came by told her to pay up. She paid up alright.”

Anthony admitted that sounded like something his father would do and told Leo “I gotta say you do have a certain Abetemarco style about you.” It turns out the two are related, which led to an interesting conversation at the Reagan family table.

Sean Reagan said he would like another brother

Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Sean (Andrew Terraciano) Reagan are the only ones living in their house since Jack (Tony Terraciano) left for college and Linda died. The little brother said he would love to find out he has another brother.

“I don’t know I think it’d be pretty cool to have a new brother show up,” said Sean. He admitted, “I just miss the company and Jack can’t be around so having another brother around my age…might not be a bad thing.”

Danny, of course, mentioned that would mean he would need a serious talk with his mother’s grave for cheating. When Frank and Henry said finding out you have another sibling is a positive thing Danny asked, “Yeah, but even that way?”

“Why not?” asked Frank. “Boil it down you got one more person you can count on in the end. I mean who wouldn’t be grateful for that?”

Chances are a secret son won’t be popping up on Danny’s doorstep anytime soon. However, Henry already talked to Danny about moving on and this could be another sign of the future.

Henry previously said Danny’s home is empty

Sean’s words are very similar to what Henry previously said to Danny in the episode, “Blues.” He told Danny that he can’t continue living in such a lonely way.

Danny was down after he shot a young kid. “Linda was the one who got you through those others. She also could have gotten through this one,” said Henry. When Danny said that wasn’t in the cards the grandfather said, “so draw a new one.”

It’s been two years since Linda’s death and it looks like Danny is still not ready to move on, but the push from Henry and Sean talking about wanting another brother might be the show hinting that their family could grow in the future.
