‘Blue Bloods’ Season 10 Trailer Shows Jamie Carrying Eddie over a Threshold After Their Wedding
Fans previously had a theory that Blue Bloods will return with more of Jamie (Will Estes) and Eddie (Vanessa Ray)’s wedding. The new season’s premiere is coming up so a trailer has been released. Find out what happens between the newlyweds and how things left off between them.
The last season ended with Jamie and Eddie’s wedding
Season 9 ended with the episode, “Something Blue.” The episode showed the Reagan family at the rehearsal dinner and Frank (Tom Selleck) gave a toast about why Eddie decided to go against tradition and walk down the aisle by herself.
This turned out to be a fake out because Eddie was nervous and wanted Frank to walk her down the aisle. The episode ended with them making their way to the altar.
Fans were angry that they didn’t get to see the characters exchange their vows. They hoped the show would return showing more of their wedding, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Tom Selleck gave a few reasons why the wedding wasn’t shown
Tom Selleck talked about the finale and the reason why the vows weren’t shown. He mentioned that the show is more focused on conflict in relationships.
“The jeopardy in our show is a danger to the relationships,” he told Deadline. “You can get momentary jeopardy to a character and a tense life-threatening situation, but you can’t even hang a whole show on that. What you can hang it on is an audience’s sense of anticipation based on what they want and what appears to not be happening.”
He also added that it would be hard to live up to people’s expectations. “That’s why in this season’s finale, we don’t show the whole wedding ceremony,” Selleck said. “How are we going to beat Charles and Di splendor or pomp? So you need some sort of conflict or concern or something to make that kind of scene work like with Eddie and Frank or something else.”
A new trailer dropped for season 10
A trailer was released teasing the new season of Blue Bloods. We quickly see most of the characters, but we get the most screen time with the newlyweds.
Jamie asks, “Ready, Mrs. Reagan?” and he picks Eddie up to carry her over the threshold of their place. We see someone holding up a phone to capture a picture of the moment.
The trailer also shows Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Maria (Marisa Ramirez) working together. They’re walking and something explodes behind them. Later they are seen leaving someone’s home and Danny is holding up a gun.
Erin (Bridget Moynahan) seems to be getting in on the action this season too. There is a clip of her holding up a gun. The trailer ends with her talking to Frank who tells her, “You are tough.” She says back, “I was raised in this cop land.”
It looks like fans will get to see what married life will be like for Eddie and Jamie. There will also be an important episode with the show celebrating 200 episodes. Blue Bloods will premiere on Sept. 27 on CBS at 10/9 CDT.
