The Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga House-Hunting Rumors Are Reportedly False
Rumors about a passionate love affair between Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper were swirling around the internet during the time leading up to this past year’s Oscars, where Gaga won the best song of the year for Shallow. Anyone who’s seen A Star is Born knows the duo has undeniable chemistry. But, as Lady Gaga said on Jimmy Kimmel Live shortly after her Oscar win, on-screen chemistry means nothing in the real world.
Lady Gaga on her false affair with Bradley Cooper
“First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet, and what it has done to pop culture is just abysmal. Yes, people saw love and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see. This is a love song, Shallow. The movie, A Star is Born, it’s a love story,” she said in response to Kimmel asking her about the rumors that suggested the co-stars were in love.
Their Oscar performance, in particular, fueled the rumor fire. The duo’s chemistry seemed to be turned up a few degrees hotter than normal. But Gaga said it was all thanks to Cooper’s strong artistic vision.
“Bradley–I never relinquish control about a live stage performance, I mean I’ve done a million of them–but he directed this film and he directed all of, you know, the musical moments in the film and he directed Shallow, obviously the moment in the film, so I knew that he had the vision for how it should go. And so I was like ‘what do you think Bradley?’ and he laid it all out. Everything that you saw […] It was just so important from a performance perspective to both of us that we were connected the entire time. I mean I’ve had my arms wrapped around Tony Bennett for three years touring the world… when you’re singing love songs that’s what you want people to feel,” she said.
Adding: “I’m an artist and I guess we did a good job and fooled ya!”
The house-hunting rumor
According to OK!, Cooper and Gaga have been having an affair for quite some time, Cooper’s relationship is crumbling, and now the two are looking for a house together before they “go public with their romance.”
Debunking the rumor
Gossip Cop points out that Cooper and his long-time partner Irina Shayk have been spotted recently having lunch together in New York City and seemed to be very much normal in their interactions with one another, almost confirming that the couple, who has homes in both New York and Los Angeles, are still together.
Additionally, the publication reports that it reached out to Gaga’s spokesperson for a comment on the house-hunting rumor and they confirmed “that this latest tale about the two moving in together and getting engaged is more nonsense.”
