Ellen Stone, executive vice president, marketing, Bravo, Oxygen, and Universal Kids provided a quote to pump up the volume. “Bravo’s passionate fandom is on a level that’s rarely seen outside of sports and superheroes,” she remarked.”We’re fortunate to have such loyal fans who come to us for larger than life talent and series that are the gold standard in unscripted television. We never take that for granted, and we can’t wait to show them what we have in store.”

Bravo took superfans’ pulse

The network may have used the April influencer event to help form the convention. Maria DeLuca, senior vice president of consumer marketing and social for Bravo told The Cheat Sheet about why connecting with superfans was important to building the Bravo brand.

“Bravo has an incredibly vocal, engaged, and loyal fandom,” she said. “Some of these fans are even creating content about the brand on a daily basis. As marketers, we see such huge value in this community of brand advocates.”

Superfan influencers had full access to Bravo celebrities, the studio and also Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “Bravo went above and beyond,” Katie MacArthur Burdick from Bravo Betch told The Cheat Sheet. “The entire day from morning to night was just perfect. They showed us some exclusive sneak peeks, we were able to ask questions to people who work on all these shows we love so much and we got to meet some bravolebs.”

Fans will have these opportunities

According to the release, fans will have access to stars, producers, and executives behind some of Bravo’s most popular shows. Show personalities will likely include The Real Housewives, Below Deck, Southern Charm and Married to Medicine. But also anticipate cast members from Vanderpump Rules, Shahs of Sunset, Top Chef and Project Runway.

Don’t forget about a unique Watch What Happens Live experience too. The infamous Clubhouse will be expanded to accommodate what will ultimately become the largest Clubhouse audience to date.

Fans react strongly

Of course, Bravo fans are already booking flights and hotels. Many took to Twitter to express their excitement. “Boyfriend just sent me a link and said ‘looks like you’ll be in New York for one weekend in November’ oh yes bitch you better pray I come back and don’t run off with @ColinMacyOToole…,” one Twitter user wrote.

A number of fans referenced certain shows and episodes. One suggested fans come dressed in drag like the infamous Real Housewives of Orange County episode. Another had these ideas. “Aviva’s leg better be on display at #bravocon. Also the original copy thrown on the table of A Cop Without A Badge. Oh, and Jax’s Chunky Sweater from Vegas.”

A few people claimed they had the idea first. One fan suggested a Bravo superfan was the one who originally planted the idea in the executives’ brains. Another wrote that friends joked about what their BravoCon dream panels would resemble. “I joked around with my friends last year and made our dream #bravocon panels please let them accurately close.”
