‘Breaking Bad’: Aaron Paul’s Latest Instagram Post May Have Hinted Walter White Is Coming Back

The Breaking Bad movie, which we now know is called El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, will drop on Netflix in one month and fans are freaking out over it. Though details are scarce on what will happen in the film, we do know that the story will focus on Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) after his dramatic escape from the Nazi compound in the series finale.

The only promo for the movie so far shows Jesse’s friend Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) being questioned about Jesse’s whereabouts. Fans are left wondering the same thing investigators are trying to figure out: What happened to Jesse? Will he be all right? Will he ever cook meth again?

And now it seems we have our answer. In his first social media post referencing the film, Aaron Paul just dropped a major clue about what will happen in the movie. Fans are even speculating he might have hinted something about Walter White.

Aaron Paul just revealed something major on Instagram

Though no one is exactly sure what it means, it’s obvious that Aaron Paul’s latest Instagram post includes a major clue about the plot of El Camino. The photo shows Jesse Pinkman standing in what appears to be Gus Fring’s lab while wearing a yellow hazmat suit. The caption says simply, “Hello old friend” and includes the premiere date (October 11) for the movie.

Understandably, fans went absolutely wild over the post. They immediately headed to the comments section to share their excitement plus speculate on what the post meant.

Fans wonder if the ‘old friend’ could be Walter White

Though the final scene of the series appears to show Walter White (Bryan Cranston) meeting his end, there’s been a lot of fan speculation that the drug kingpin could still be alive after all. And if he is, we’d definitely be seeing him make an appearance in the Breaking Bad movie.

Some internet sleuths are even claiming that Aaron Paul’s Instagram post about an “old friend” might be referencing WW, not the blue sky meth that most people assume he’s talking about. But is that theory too good to be true?

There’s no way Aaron Paul will let the secret slip

Anyone hoping for Aaron Paul to reveal more details about the movie is bound to be disappointed. Up until the movie was announced, Paul kept the filming secret from everyone and lied about what he was really doing. “I just said I was doing this small little indie out in New Mexico and that was it. No one second-guessed it,” Paul explained.

He continued: “I definitely had people asking, ‘Are you doing Better Call Saul?’ And I’d go, ‘Hey, man, I wish I was. But they’re on hiatus right now.’”

Though it would be amazing to see Bryan Cranston reprise his role as Walter White, there’s a good chance it will be insanely good either way.

Even though Aaron Paul wasn’t immediately sure whether a Breaking Bad movie was a great idea, he changed his mind after reading the script. “I couldn’t speak for a good 30, 60 seconds,” he said. “I was just lost in my thoughts. As the guy who played the guy, I was so happy that Vince wanted to take me on this journey.”

October 11 can’t come soon enough!
