‘Make It Right (feat.Lauv)’ reached the No.1 spot on iTunes

Just a few hours after its release, “Make It Right (feat.Lauv)” reached the No.1 spot on the U.S. iTunes chart. “Make It Right” is the fifth BTS track to reach the No.1 spot on the chart. This set another record for BTS as BTS became the first Korean act to have five songs reach the No.1 spot on the U.S. iTunes chart.

BTS also reached the No.1 spot with “IDOL,” “Boy With Luv,” “Waste It On Me,” and “MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix).” In September 2019, J-Hope of BTS became the second Korean solo artist to reach the No.1 spot on the U.S. iTunes Chart. With “Chicken Noodle Soup,” his collaboration with Becky G, J-Hope also became the fastest Korean soloist to reach the No.1 spot. “Make It Right (feat.Lauv)” is Lauv’s first time achieving the No.1 spot on the U.S. iTunes chart.

BTS’s song “Make It Right” is receiving radio play

“Make It Right” appears on BTS’s EP, Map of the Soul: Persona. The remix version of “Make It Right” received radio play across several major U.S. cities.

According to Headline Planet, “… consistent BTS supporter 103.7 KISS Chattanooga played the song a whopping 25 times in the seven days ending October 18.”

The article also reported, “Other key supporters include San Diego’s Channel 93.3 (21 spins in the seven-day window), Phoenix’s 104.7 KISS (17 spins), Los Angeles’ 102.7 KIIS FM (14 spins), and Atlanta’s Q99.7 (6 spins). Numerous other stations have played the song between 1-5 times.”

The song and music video is a dedication to BTS’s fan base

The music video for “Make It Right (feat.Lauv)” incorporates tour footage from BTS’s most recent tour. Along with the tour footage, there is an animated story. BTS fans quickly realized the story represents BTS’s relationship with ARMY.

“‘Make it Right’ just hits different now after the music video,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“THE ENTIRE MUSIC VIDEO IS BASICALLY OUR HARD SHIPS AND HAPPINESS WITH BTS ALTOGETHER #MakeItRight,” another fan wrote on Twitter.

ARMY hopes ‘Make It Right’ will continue its success

BTS is currently in the middle of their Grammy campaign, and BTS fans hope that the success of the “Make It Right” remix will strengthen the group’s chance of securing a nomination. In the past year, BTS have achieved many things with Map of the Soul: Persona. If the “Make It Right” remix continues its success, BTS’s odds of a Grammy nomination could improve.

“@BTS_twt are doing their best, and we should support to our best abilities. They’re actively promoting #MakeItRight for a reason. Let’s not let the boys down ARMYs,” a fan tweeted.

“Make It Right is not something released just because, it’s a second single like American artists have, which means BTS would like it to have the same success as BWL or greater. Please stream it/buy the track like BWL to help it get big and keep BTS in the minds of Grammy voters,” a Twitter user wrote.
