BTS Fans Think a Jungkook and Justin Bieber Collaboration Might Happen
Jungkook’s birthday is officially over, but all of social media is still recovering from ARMY breaking Weverse and Twitter. Millions of people tweeted about Jungkook’s birthday, including Justin Bieber. Because of Bieber’s cryptic tweet, some BTS fans think a collaboration is on the horizon.
Justin Bieber tweeted about Jungkook’s birthday
Lots of people celebrated Jungkook’s birthday on social media. Countless members of ARMY flooded Weverse and Twitter with celebratory messages. When Twitter crashed due to overcapacity, William Shatner asked what was wrong.
BTS fans responded that the app crashed because of the high number of tweets about Jungkook. Shatner then wrote the BTS member a birthday message. He also promised ARMY he would listen to BTS’s music.
“It’s all about learning. I am delighted that so many fans want to share their passion about the group. I promise I will download some of their songs and listen to them,” he wrote on Twitter.
Bieber also celebrated Jungkook’s birthday. Before Jungkook’s birthday ended in South Korea, Bieber wrote a birthday post on Twitter.
“Happy bday #JUNGKOOK . They ain’t ready :) now watch this tweet go crazy,” he wrote.
The BTS Twitter account that is shared by the seven members retweeted Bieber’s tweet.
BTS fans think Justin Bieber and Jungkook might collaborate
Jungkook posted an original song on Twitter for his birthday. Since then, he has shared several more video clips of songs on the app. Based on the wording of Bieber’s tweet, some fans think the birthday wish hints about an upcoming collaboration.
“jungkook has been a fan of Justin bieber for like forever and done so many covers of his songs and now you’re telling me there’s a 99.9% possibility that they’re releasing a song together?? We ain’t ready?? THE WORLD AINT READY?????,” wrote a fan on Twitter.
“It’s more than a birthday wish … it might be a call for a collab that’s all, wrote another.
Jungkook covered several Justin Bieber songs
Jungkook often covers songs of artists he likes. In 2018, he performed “We Don’t Talk Anymore” with Charlie Puth at the MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards. Jungkook previously covered “We Don’t Talk Anymore” with Jimin and as a solo cover. Over the years, Jungkook covered multiple Justin Bieber songs including “Nothing Like Us,” “Purpose,” and “2U.”
BTS is becoming so famous, anytime another celebrity looks in their direction people assume a collaboration is coming. Some BTS fans take issue with this, and accuse other artists of using BTS to maintain relevancy. When Bieber tweeted his birthday wish for Jungkook, fans accused him of using the BTS singer for more fame.
“Some people are accusing Justin Bieber of using Jungkook’s name for clout when that man literally got a whole article dedicated to him just because he ate a sandwich…,” wrote a Twitter user.
Other fans are happy at the possibility of a collaboration.
“jungkook has been dreaming of collaborating with justin bieber for years, stop hating and respect how much this must mean for jungkook,” a fan wrote.
