BTS Is Back in Korea and Basically, Jungkook’s Long Hair Will Be the Death of ARMY
BTS is back in Korea a week — and a few million speculations — after leaving the country through the Incheon International Airport on Sept. 16. Fans of the K-pop boy group — composed of members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook, and V — suspected BTS left to film Bon Voyage Season 4 in New Zealand. And while the theory has all but been confirmed, most fans are just happy to see the “Dionysus” singers back safely. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop ARMY from freaking out over Jungkook’s long hair — yet again. And quite frankly, we don’t blame them.
BTS flew back to Korea on Sept. 24, 2019
According to a video posted by Newsen, BTS arrived back in Korea on Sept. 24. Per usual, the video featured clips of the boy group decked out in airport fashion as they make their way through crowds of fans and paparazzi.
According to Billboard, the band flew out of the country for a project abroad after officially ending their extended vacation. “Wrapping up its extended vacation, BTS departed overseas this morning for an engagement abroad,” Big Hit Entertainment explained on Sept. 16.
Fans react to Jungkook’s hair when BTS returned to Korea
Although most fans were buzzing over the return of all seven members, many took the time to swoon over Jungkook’s hair on social media. ARMY already expressed their excitement over the length of his locks when BTS departed Korea. However, the “Euphoria” singer seemed to showcase his curls this time around.
“Jungkook invented being boyfriend material,” one fan tweeted in response to the Newsen video.
“OH MY GOD JUNGKOOKS LONG HAIR,” another Twitter user wrote. “JUNGKOOK NATION HOW ARE YOU GUYS DOING?”
“THE WAY JUNGKOOK’S HAIR SWOOSHES WHEN HE BOWS AHHHHHHH,” a fan wrote.
Did BTS film Bon Voyage in New Zealand? An investigation
Big Hit has yet to officially confirm BTS’s whereabouts during their week overseas. However, members of BTS posted a number of photos from their trip, feeding into theories about the annual travel series. On Sept. 17, Jin tweeted a couple of photos with some deer, and some hawkeyed ARMYs noticed the “Epiphany” singer had a mic attached to his shirt.
A user wrote, “THEY’RE IN NEW ZEALAND AND DID U SAW THE MIC ON JIN’S SHIRT??? YALL IM EXCITED FOR BON VOYAGE!”
Regardless, it seems the boys were, indeed, filming the fourth season of Bon Voyage in New Zealand. On Sept. 23, Philip Turner, the New Zealand Ambassador to the Republic of Korea revealed the news on his Twitter account.
“Exciting news for all BTS fans,” Turner wrote in response to Jin’s photos. “The mega-famous K-pop brand have been in NZ’s South Island apparently filming their next travel programme Bon Voyage. Can’t wait to see the show!”
Meanwhile, The K-pop Herald confirmed the news when they welcomed BTS back to Korea. The publication wrote, “@BTS_twt back from New Zealand where they shot Bon Voyage.”
Fans may have felt a bit empty after Run BTS wrapped on VLIVE. But, don’t fret. The boys have returned to Korea, which means new episodes of Bon Voyage could be coming sooner than you think. So stay tuned.
