Caitlyn Jenner shares the ‘most important memory’ she’ll cherish from ‘KUWTK’

Despite the many ups and downs she and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenners faced on KUWTK, Caitlyn Jenner has many great memories of filming the show with her family.

In a recent interview with E! News following her unveiling on FOX’s The Masked Singer, Jenner discussed certain moments in the show’s 20-season run that really stand out to her.

“Episode one, just to see how young Kendall and Kylie [Jenner] were, and how young everybody was, and I remember those times when we had pitched the show to the E! Network,” the former Olympian shared. “And they liked the idea. They said, ‘OK, we’ll shoot six episodes.’ And they only gave us one camera to shoot an entire family.”

Jenner continued, “It was one camera, and to see Kendall and Kylie that young, and all the other kids that young, really not knowing, in a lot of ways, what they’re doing. They’re just having fun, and somebody sitting in the house to share that experience with them.”

Much to Jenner’s surprise, those six episodes turned into hundreds of televised adventures she and her family got to experience together, which are her fondest memories to date.

“To know we were on such a long journey together as a family,” Jenner adds. “It’s by far probably the most important memory that I have of the show, is at the beginning stages.”

Caitlyn Jenner appreciates ‘KUWTK’ for bringing her family closer together

In addition to sharing her fondest memories of KUWTK, Jenner also revealed a “special aspect” to filming the beloved reality series, which is that it forced the family to be open and honest about everything going on in their lives.

Though the family experienced their share of tough times throughout the years, shooting the show together has only made their family dynamic stronger.

“In a lot of ways, it brought the family so much closer together, so much stronger as a family,” the I Am Cait alum explains. “When things come up, they can share with family members because everybody’s in the same boat. So for me, that was by far one of the best things.”

Caitlyn Jenner called ‘KUWTK’ the ‘greatest reality show in history’

Although KUWTK documented many personal family moments, including Jenner’s divorce from Kris Jenner as well as her transition, the former Olympian is proud of what the show has become and previously shared her thoughts on the end of the KUWTK era.

“Nobody called me, I heard it through the media,” the 70-year-old explained in a September 2020 interview with Australia’s The Morning Show. “Was I surprised? No, but that show… it’s probably the greatest reality show in history.”

Jenner even praised her loved ones for making the show such a big hit.

“The girls have done and Kris has done just an amazing job with the show and keeping it going this long,” she said. “But kind of everybody is in a different place now and I think it’s time to move on. What a run.”

“Nothing lasts forever,” Jenner added. “And shows do come and go, this one has by far done the best, I think, of any reality show in history. So at some point, it’s going to come to an end…I wasn’t surprised, but I just am so proud of the kids for doing such a great job over the years. I mean, they did an amazing job.”
