Camille Grammer’s Instagram Proves You Can Be Fit and Fabulous At Any Age
One of the OGs of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills proved that turning 50 doesn’t mean you can’t still have a smoking hot bod. The mother of two posted an Instagram image wearing an adorable blue bikini and hinted to how she stays in such great shape. “Morning training Hawaiian style. Just finished a wonderful 2.8 mile paddle and swim. Took a few underwater pics of an two eagle rays swimming beneath us.”
Grammer has always looked fit and fabulous and shares how she remains, what seems to be, ageless.
Grammer has always worked out
From the get-go, Grammer has flaunted her fit physique. She showed the ladies how to throw down on the dance floor during the first season of RHOBH, thanks to her early days as a dancer. Grammer danced on Club MTV in her late teens, which included travel with MTV’s Spring Break. “Some of the best times of my life [were] when I danced on Club MTV. Spring Break was amazing,” she told Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “I mean, being 18, 19, 20 years old and traveling around with rock stars — it was so much fun and dancing and meeting all these different performers and just the camaraderie between the dancers. Back then, MTV was so cool.”
Movement is in her blood, so it is no surprise Grammer continues to remain active.”I love to go on hikes, play tennis, surf, and go paddle boarding,” she told Today. “I’m a terrible surfer, but I do it anyway.”
Grammer also loves a good hike. “I’m an active person; I like to hike,” she told Los Angeles Confidential. “There are a lot of great hiking areas in the Santa Monica mountains. When I hike, it gives me a chance to breathe and relax. It’s my form of meditation. I also like to paddleboard. I believe being active is a wonderful way to live in the moment.
She also eats right
Grammer says she went on the “divorce diet” following her split with actor Kelsey Grammer. “I’ve lost 16 pounds since the beginning,” she told Today in 2011. “It’s going through the stress of Kelsey leaving and then shooting a reality show at the same time. So it’s a combo.”
“I call it the divorce diet,” according to Fit Tip Daily. “No, I have good genes and I stick to a protein, low carbs, and a lot of veggies.”
Grammer is a cancer survivor
Remaining healthy is likely to be a major goal for Grammer. She’s been diagnosed with cancer twice, first endometrial cancer and recently battled (and won) skin cancer. Grammer told Everyday Health cancer runs in her family so her stage two endometrial cancer diagnosis wasn’t a surprise. She had a radical hysterectomy along with chemotherapy and radiation.
Grammer is in remission from endometrial cancer but recently had surgery to remove a squamous cell carcinoma, People reports. Her fiance also had a squamous cell carcinoma removed from his temple too. “We were both laughing about this,” Grammer said to People. “With sun exposure, be careful. Protect yourself from the sun and get checkups!”
