‘RHOP’ Candiace Dillard Accuses Monique Samuels of Blocking Her Bookings After Physical Altercation
During Real Housewives of Potomac Season 3, Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels had a close, sister-like relationship. However, things took a turn for the worse during the following season as Samuels got closer to Ashley Darby, a housewife Dillard doesn’t jive well with.
They continued to butt heads for the rest of the season until the third part of the reunion, where both admitted they wanted to work on their friendship.
However, it went south again during the filming for Season 5 as the two women allegedly got into a “serious fight,” which has resulted in both ladies filing second-assault charges against each other.
The drama continues because now Dillard is accusing Samuels of preventing her from performing the national anthem at a basketball game.

In October 2019, while the ladies were filming the fifth season of Real Housewives of Potomac, Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels allegedly got into a physical altercation.
According to sources, Samuels grabbed Dillard’s hair and yanked her down. Some insiders say the pageant beauty started the fight by throwing a drink in Samuels’ face, and the mother-of-three responded by grabbing her hair and throwing a punch.
Regardless, the police were called but did not arrest either housewife on the scene. Around a month later, Dillard filed a complaint, which caused the court to issue a summons for a second-degree assault charge on Samuels.

According to the summons, Samuels must appear in court on December 23rd. If she is convicted, Samuels will be arrested on the scene and may have to spend Christmas in jail.
Dillard’s attorney released a statement saying their client was “attacked viciously,” will “pray that Monique” gets help and that Samuels’ “behavior has no place in our society.”
Samuels’ attorney responded to the charge, claiming, “Ms. Dillard has a public reputation for aggressive, belligerent, and threatening behavior that has played out repeatedly on the Housewives of Potomac for millions of viewers to see for themselves.”
He also explained that Samuels “did nothing but defend herself in the face of more very aggressive behavior by Ms. Dillard.” Therefore, they decided to file a counter criminal summons to charge Dillard with second-degree assault as well.

On November 16th, Dillard was supposed to sing the national anthem during the Washington Fusion basketball game. However, she took to Instagram to explain the reason why she was “removed from the program.”
According to Dillard, a woman she tagged in the post, who seemingly works for the Entertainment and Sports Arena, fulfilled “a personal vendetta over one’s own indiscretions” by listening to Samuels and canceling Dillard’s performance.

Samuels promptly responded to Dillard on her Instagram story. She denied the pageant beauty’s allegations and claimed Dillard “is not, never was, and never will be that important to me.”
Samuels also said Dillard has “no real responsibilities” and asserted she doesn’t care about the singer’s “failed attempts at being booked.” Samuels ended her response by saying she will “holler” at her attorney “about this harassment and defamation of character.”
Real Housewives of Potomac will return in Spring 2020.
