Cardi B Indicted By Grand Jury After Strip Club Brawl
Cardi B and Offset have had a tumultuous relationship, to say the least. After multiple infidelity scandals and accusations, many fans have been wondering if the power couple’s marriage is meant to truly last. Now, Cardi B has been indicted by a grand jury after taking part in a strip club brawl, and rumor has it that Offset is to blame. However, other sources have taken to social media to explain that Offset has nothing to do with the entire fight. Now, fans aren’t sure who to believe.
Trouble between Cardi B and Offset
Cardi B and Offset got together in February of 2017, but it wasn’t long before the Migos star popped the question. Offset proposed to Cardi B on stage in October, and Cardi said yes. Fans all over the world rejoiced, but it seems as if the happiness wasn’t meant to last.
Only two months after Offset’s on-stage proposal, he was confronted with a damning cheating scandal. Offset was caught on video in bed with multiple women. Pretty hard to write that one off, huh? In fact, Offset refused to address the scandal during his Rolling Stone interview, instead replying with, “It’s my real life. It ain’t no gig. It ain’t no fucking game, you know what I’m saying? It ain’t no game. It’s my life.”
Cardi B addressed the tape on Twitter, writing, “No, it’s not right for a [n—-] to cheat…But what you want me to do?” she wrote. “Go f— me another n—-? Start all over again and get cheated on again? This s— happens to everyone and I be too, you too…People handle they relationship different soo.”
Cardi B avoids arrest
It’s a good thing Cardi B showed up for this trial, because she was one step away from getting arrested. After failing to show up to her previous court case due to a scheduling conflict, Cardi B would have been in hot water if she missed this particular court date.
According to CNN, Cardi B showed up mere minutes before she was expected to appear in court. Good to know the star refuses to kowtow no matter what. Cardi B faced two misdemeanors counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of assault. Cardi refused to accept a plea deal in which she would have plead guilty to a single misdemeanor, thereby granting her a conditional discharge. After Cardi B rejected the plea deal, prosecutors decided to take the case to a grand jury.
The strip club brawl
So what went down at the strip club? It seems Cardi B showed up at the Flushing, NY club in a Nicki Minaj inspired wig with retaliation on the brain. Gossip blog ShadyLipz posted an image on Instagram of two women, one of whom was allegedly Offset’s side girl.
Apparently Cardi B got pretty violent that night. The two women, apparently bartenders at the club, claim that Cardi and her team threw bottles and chairs inside the club, and that they were injured as a result. Meanwhile, Cardi’s attorney is claiming that he’s not aware of any harm done to the two women.
A fan of Cardi’s who is allegedly also a sister to the presumed side chick claims that this has nothing to do with Offset. Instead, it’s apparently about Cardi’s friend Star, who used to work at the same club.
BET references a Tweet that no longer seems to exist in which the sister writes, “The fight broke out cause they were trowing subs at Cardi friend Star who works at the angels club as a bartender too before she got locked up,nothing to do with him cheating. Gossipinthecity always hated on Cardi and keeps on making bullshit everytime she can.”
