These Celebrities Left Hilarious Comments on Jennifer Aniston’s First Instagram Post

Jennifer Aniston has officially joined Instagram, and it caused so much commotion that fans were having trouble gaining access to her page. All over social media, there were complaints that people were unable to follow Instagram to the point where a spokesperson for the app actually had to address the issue. Aniston made a big splash when she posted a Friends reunion photo to her brand new page, and the picture received plenty of attention from other celebrities.

Aniston surprised everyone by creating an Instagram account

For years, Aniston had put off joining the social media app. And within the last week, she once again confirmed that she didn’t think she would ever create an account. Aniston has said several times in the past that she doesn’t always love the way women are portrayed in celebrity news outlets. She has consistently had to deny rumors about being pregnant, and that is what has frustrated her the most. “I’m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of ‘journalism,’ the ‘First Amendment’ and ‘celebrity news,’” Aniston wrote in a HuffPost essay in 2016. Her privacy has always been the main reason she has been hesitant to download the app.

She unveiled her Instagram in a huge way

Aniston didn’t just join with a quick selfie saying hello to the world; her introduction was huge. Her first post was a selfie of the entire Friends cast, who had all met up the previous week because they happened to all be in the same place. “Schwimmer was in town, and we all happened to have a window of time, so we all got together,” Aniston told Howard Stern. “Oh my God, we laughed so hard.” The friends took a selfie, and it ended up being Aniston’s first post. Any post of hers would have received major reactions from fans and celebrities, but this only made even more people want to leave comments.

Ellen DeGeneres, David Spade, and others left hilarious comments on her first post

Aniston not only received thousands of comments from fans, but there were also plenty of celebs who joined in on welcoming her to Instagram — and some comments were funnier than others. “I’m so glad they’re still there for you,” television host Ellen DeGeneres joked, in response to the show’s theme song. “Sh*t you can’t even see me!” actor David Spade wrote. “So no one told you life was gonna be this way??” the “Bucket List” family influencers wrote, also playing off the show’s theme song. “The one where Rachel joins Instagram,” Elf Cosmetics added.

She received a warm welcome from many other celebs, too

Though some celebrity comments were funnier than others, there were plenty of warm welcomes to go around. Charlie Puth, Kate Hudson, Jordin Sparks, and many others commented on Aniston’s post, while several celebs posted photos and stories of their own to welcome her. Jennifer Garner, Reese Witherspoon, Dolly Parton, and David Schwimmer all added either posts or stories to ring in Aniston’s arrival. Fans are eagerly awaiting the actress’ next post — hopefully she won’t leave us hanging for too long.
