6 Celebrity Couples Who May Be Getting Married

There have been many celebrity couples that have had bad luck this year. For example, there were four celebrities who were caught cheating on their significant others. But love is still very much in the air! There are many couples that have been sticking together and moving forward with their relationship. At the end of 2016, Shia LaBeouf eloped to Las Vegas with his longtime girlfriend. So who might be up next? Here are six celebrity couples who may be getting married soon.

1. Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff

The Girls creator talked openly about not marrying her musician boyfriend for a very specific reason. “We’re not against marriage,” she explained on Howard Stern. “But I wanna wait … my sister is gay and it just doesn’t feel good to me to do something she can’t do.” However, this changed after the 2015 Supreme Court ruling. After the news hit, the actress took to Twitter to give her boyfriend a hint.

He has yet to put a ring on it, but Dunham has admitted this is partially because of how she feels. “Because I mean we own a dog together. We own a home together, but the marriage thing is a big deal,” she told Ellen DeGeneres. “And I also have to say I feel intimidated because I don’t want to espouse any stereotypes, but gay people are kind of killing it at weddings right now, they’re kind of winning at weddings. So I don’t want to go in and kind of pale in comparison.” However, it’s been over a year since this interview so their feelings toward marriage could have changed.

The two actors have been dating since 2011 and have been pretty steady. According to Morning Ledger, they could be walking down the aisle one day. There have been rumors that Butler already proposed in 2015, but it wasn’t ever confirmed. However, the rumors didn’t die there. In 2016, Butler was reportedly making plans to propose to the High School Musical star. Hudgens also reportedly talked about her own wedding plans at her friend, Ashley Tisdale’s wedding.

The singer and model have been together for some time now. They moved in together in Los Angeles this year, according to OK! Magazine. However, it hasn’t all been good. They broke up for a short period of time in 2016, but now they are back together.

“They cherish every moment together and make sure they’re never apart for longer than 10 days so it made sense for her to move in officially,” a source told the Mirror. That future could very well be a wedding. Although they are both young and in their early 20s, Zayn was previously engaged to Perrie Edwards so he isn’t afraid of taking that next step.

5. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton

The two fell in love pretty quickly while working together on The Voice. Although they haven’t announced anything, sources have claimed that they were planning a wedding at the end of 2016. “They want to get married before the end of the year,” a source told US Weekly. “They are both very, very happy. Blake is having the time of his life with Gwen and feels so comfortable around her.”

Although a 2016 wedding didn’t happen, TMZ claims they have gone as far as to hire a wedding planner named Jerri Woolworth. The planner has organized events for the CMAs, the NFL, and the NHL. However, when reached to confirm this, Woolworth said “no comment.”

6. Drake and Rihanna

The two definitely made headlines for coming forward as a couple publicly. In the past, their relationship with each other was seemingly casual and nothing to acknowledge to the press. But at the 2016 VMAs, Drake presented her with her Video Vanguard Award and pretty much changed that perception. “She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old,” the rapper said in his speech. “She’s one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I’ve looked up to her even though she’s younger than me.”

There have been rumors swirling that they have been engaged since 2014. But now that their relationship has been confirmed, it may actually happen. “Rihanna and Drake have talked about getting married and have even discussed eloping,” a source told Life & Style. “Rihanna has always wanted to get married in [her native Barbados].”
