Have Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich Spoken Since Their Breakup?
Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich had a whirlwind romance. They began dating, got engaged, and broke up all within this year. Now that the two are no longer together, fans are wondering where things stand between them. Are they cordial? Do they even speak to one another anymore?
Demi and Max’s relationship
Ehrich and Lovato went public with their relationship in March after Lovato accidentally showed up on in one of Ehrich’s Instagram Lives. In July, the two announced their engagement.
“@maxehrich I knew I loved you the moment I met you,” she wrote on Instagram in a since-deleted post. “It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too.. I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all. You never pressure me to be anything other than myself. And you make me want to be the best version of myself. I’m honored to accept your hand in marriage. I love you more than a caption could express but I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you. I love you forever my baby. My partner. Here’s to our future!!”
Recently, things between the two became strained as screenshots of some of Ehrich’s old tweets began to surface. As recently as 2018, the actor had tweeted about wanting to marry Selena Gomez. An old Instagram Live of Ehrich talking about how much he loved and wanted to marry Gomez also resurfaced.
Though Lovato claimed that the tweets were edited, just a few weeks later, she and Ehrich ended things.
“It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together.”
Do Demi and Max still talk?
Recently, Ehrich revealed in his Instagram stories that he found out about the breakup via the tabloids.
While Lovato hasn’t spoken on the situation, Ehrich has addressed it on his Instagram stories a few times.
“Please stop trying to ‘Thank you, next’ me,” he wrote yesterday in a story captured by Entertainment Tonight.
“For I’m just a human being who has to go to work tomorrow AM where there are families with kids relying on me,” he continued.
He also revealed that he and Lovato are not speaking.
“To this moment… we haven’t spoken over the phone… we haven’t even officially ended anything to each other, literally.
“I’m here in real time with y’all,” he continued. “I love Demetria and just want her to be healthy and safe.”
He then went on to address his ex.
“If you’re reading this… I love you always… unconditionally… no matter what.”
Before wrapping up his posts, Ehrich posted a number of Lovato’s hits, commenting that he has “respected and loved Demetria since [he] was 15,”
“She inspires me every day and is an INCREDIBLE human being,” he continued. “I know it’s not her writing these stories, it’s a machine. I love her unconditionally.”
