What Is Beyoncé’s Snapchat Name? What to Know About Her ‘Secret’ Account

Beyoncé seemingly uses Instagram more than any other social media platform. It’s where she promotes her music, dispels and fuels rumors, and provides updates about her life. But it’s reportedly not her only account. In 2017, Bey posted a photo of herself with a Snapchat filter, suggesting that she belongs to the platform. But what’s Beyoncé’s Snapchat name?

First things first, does Beyoncé even have a Snapchat?

It appears that Beyoncé has never directly said whether she has a Snapchat. But fans believe that she does due to some of the photos she’s shared over the years.

In 2017, Beyoncé posted a photo of her and her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, with a Snapchat filter. The same year, according to BuzzFeed, she posted a photo of her and Blue using a “bunny ears” filter created in honor of Easter.

Of course, there’s a possibility that Blue has her own Snapchat that Beyoncé borrowed. But the singer’s mother, Tina Lawson, seemed to debunk this theory when she posted a video Bey sent her directly. In the clip, the “Irreplaceable” singer rapped a song while using Snapchat’s famous face-swapping feature.

“My baby Beyonce sent me this,” Lawson wrote in the caption. “It’s really cool! I have to learn how to do this.”

Beyoncé was asked about her Snapchat in a recent interview

The “Diva” singer faced a question about it in the January 2020 issue of ELLE. She participated in an Ask Me Anything session, where one fan grilled and pressed her to reveal her account.

“What’s your Snapchat name?” the fan asked, adding, “We know you’re on there.”

But sadly, she did not cough up any real answer.

In response, Beyoncé said: “I hate to say it, I hope I don’t sound ridiculous, but I don’t know what my Snapchat is. Sorry to that Snapchat. “

Her comment is a spin on Keke Palmer’s viral reaction to a photograph of former Vice President Dick Cheney, in which she admitted that she did not know him. The clip, pulled from a Vanity Fair interview, took over the Internet in September and is often used to get out of sticky situations.

Well played, Bey.

Beyoncé is very private

NickiSwift once described Beyoncé as “the queen of keeping her private life private” — and that couldn’t be more fitting.

In comparison to other celebrities, the Lemonade singer doesn’t talk nearly as much about her personal life. She generally keeps her comments on the things and people who are close to her heart to a minimum.

So, it’s no surprise that she hasn’t revealed her apparent Snapchat. It’s probably one of few places she can go to really be herself and let loose without the gaze of the media and being swarmed with comments. And that’s fair. But we can’t promise that fans won’t piece it together soon.

In the meantime, you can find Beyoncé on Instagram. During the week of Dec. 8, the mom-of-three gave fans a sneak peek at her 2020 Ivy Park relaunch, which goes down on Jan. 18. But that’s only a small part of all that she shares on the platform.
