Chris Harrison Explains Why Tyler C.’s Date with Gigi Hadid Could Ruin His Chance for ‘The Bachelor’

Chris Harrison seemed to be rooting for Tyler C. or Tyler Cameron to get back with Hannah Brown on The Bachelorette. Things seem a little more uncertain now Cameron reportedly went on a date with Gigi Hadid.

Will this ruin his chances of becoming the star of The Bachelor? This is what the host had to say.

Tyler C. said he has to really think about becoming the bachelor

The runner-up was stopped from proposing to Brown in the finale. That’s because she chose to give her final rose to Jed Wyatt. She later broke up with Wyatt when it came out that he never broke up with his ex before going on the show.

Now there is the question of who will be the next bachelor? Cameron seems like a great choice, but he had an interesting reaction to the thought of taking the role.

“Yeah, that’s something I’ve got to sit down and really think about. It’s an incredible opportunity, but it comes with a lot of responsibility. I’ve got to weigh all the options and see if it’s something I really want to go for—and if the opportunity presents itself too. Who knows? I just have to take it day by day at this point,” he told Glamour.

He was being considered for the role

Those behind the show certainly noticed the general contractor’s fandom. Rob Mills, ABC Entertainment’s Senior Vice President, Alternative Series, Specials & Late-Night Programming, talked about why he would be a great choice.

“He really was sort of a different type of character,” Mills told Entertainment Tonight. “He was really a woke hunk. He was fantastic. … I will say, yes, I’m hard pressed to find somebody that has that much [fandom]. … There’s not even the, ‘Yeah, he’s just not my cup of tea.’ He seems to be everybody’s cup of tea.”

The executive said he will “absolutely” be considered for the show. However, his latest dates might be hurting his chances.

He was recently seen leaving Brown’s place in Los Angeles with an overnight bag. Days later he was seen on a date with Gigi Hadid.

Chris Harrison said bouncing from girl to girl isn’t good for The Bachelor

Fans aren’t the only ones watching what Cameron is doing after the show. Those who are considering who will be picked for the show are too. The host said dating multiple women right now might ruin his chances.

“If Tyler is bouncing around from girl to girl and loving the life and enjoying the limelight — which, by the way, good on him. That’s fine. If that’s what you want to do right now, I don’t blame him. He’s probably enjoying life really, really well — but that’s not someone we’re going to want to have as our Bachelor or Bachelorette,” he said according to Entertainment Tonight.

“So, it’s about sincerity. It’s about where you are in your life. And if that’s where he is in his life, then he’s not the guy for us,” he explained.

We will have to wait and see how things will play out. Cameron might not be the star if he continues casually dating.
