Chris Harrison Thinks Jed Wyatt Should Compete On New ‘Bachelor’ Spinoff To Redeem Himself

The Bachelor franchise is premiering a new spinoff, The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart. It’s a dating show specifically for musicians. “It’s an attempt to capture what we all know, that love and emotion and music are inexplicably intertwined,” ABC entertainment president Karey Burke said during TCA, reports Us Weekly.

The goal is for contestants to “form attractions through the melodies, find and reveal their feelings and ultimately, fall in love,” according to the press release. “The couples whose performances reveal their love and devotion to one another will continue to be given a chance to further their relationships until only one couple is left standing.” Contestants will be returning members of Bachelor Nation as well as new faces.

Chris Harrison thinks Jed Wyatt should be on ‘Listen to Your Heart’

Host Chris Harrison thinks Listen to Your Heart sounds like the perfect show for Jed Wyatt.

“I think he needs a chance to maybe redeem himself, musically and emotionally. I think he bombed on both,” he told Us Weekly. “It was a tragic ending to his story on so many levels.”

At the end of Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, Harrison was skeptical of Wyatt.

“I haven’t talked to him since that day that we left the studio,” he told Entertainment Tonight back in August. “I think he was remorseful and sorry for a lot of the things that went down. I’m sure there are some things he would like to say as well, now that Hannah’s come out and been so vocal about a lot of things she did. So, I’m sure he has his feelings hurt, if he really did love her, which I do think he did.”

At the time, he acknowledged that some of Brown’s post-season behavior might have really hurt Wyatt.

“The admission of what she was doing with Peter [Weber] probably hurt his feelings. The admission of how much she really likes Tyler [Cameron] and wants to go see him immediately probably hurts his feelings and hurts his pride and his ego,” he said. “So, I get it.”

But at the same time, Harrison couldn’t help but wonder: “Are you sorry or are you sorry you got caught?”

Who else will be on ‘Listen to Your Heart’?

Wyatt currently has a girlfriend, so he most likely won’t be making an appearance on the upcoming show anytime soon.

But Harrison has a few other members of Bachelor Nation in mind:

“Maybe James Taylor from back in the day? Kaitlyn Bristowe loves to sing but I think she’s already in love. I think you may see some people and then maybe some of these people end up in the franchise elsewhere. Who knows?” teased Harrison.
