Pratt was born in 1979 and raised primarily in Washington. He had a difficult early life and went through some hard times. He was even homeless for a short period of time after dropping out of community college.

Pratt was “discovered” while working as a waiter when he was nineteen years old and began getting roles in television series such as Everwood and The O.C

In 2009, Pratt landed his breakout role when he was cast as Andy Dwyer in the TV series Parks and Recreation. Pratt became one of the show’s most popular characters and went on to be a series regular.

Around the same time, he started getting work in movies and appeared in films such as Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty, and Her. Although Pratt was typecast as a lovable goofball, thanks to his work in Parks and Recreation, he wasn’t afraid to take on serious dramatic roles and his part in Moneyball provided a welcome opportunity for audiences to see him portray a different type of character.

What is Chris Pratt’s biggest role so far?

In 2014, Pratt landed his biggest role to date when he was cast as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Pratt joined an all-star cash that included Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel.

As part of the package for appearing in the film, Pratt signed a multi-film deal that meant he would appear in several more Marvel films over the course of the next few years. Guardians of the Galaxy was a huge hit for Marvel when it was released, and fans of all ages found themselves gravitating to Chris Pratt’s heartwarming, hilarious portrayal of Star-Lord.

His role in Guardians of the Galaxy springboarded him to even greater fame and he went on to score other major movies, including Jurassic World, The Magnificent Seven, and Passengers. Still, many fans still think of Pratt first and foremost as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, the slightly awkward hero with an affinity for classic soul tunes.

Why did Chris Pratt keep his ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ jacket?

Many actors keep certain props from movies that they have starred in, mainly for sentimental reasons. Pratt is no exception.

When he wrapped filming on Guardians of the Galaxy, he decided to keep the red jacket from the movie as well as a few other pieces from his costume. According to reports, Pratt didn’t want to keep the jacket just for display purposes though.

The community-minded actor actually dressed in full Star-Lord regalia in order to visit with sick children at a hospital. Needless to say, fans love not only Pratt’s acting chops but his generous nature as well. It seems likely that over the next decade, his star will continue to rise in Hollywood.
