Everything You Need to Know about the ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ Spinoff: ‘Growing Up Chrisley’
Todd Chrisley has been the star of the USA Network show Chrisley Knows Best since it premiered back in 2014. Since then, his family has become a household name, and we’ve watched two of his children, Chase and Savannah Chrisley, grow up before our eyes. Now, there’s a Chrisley spinoff happening; it’s called Growing Up Chrisley, and here’s everything we know about it.
Chase and Savannah Chrisley have always been stars on ‘Chrisley Knows Best’
While Todd is the head of the household and has always had a major role in his children’s lives, it’s no secret that Chrisley Knows Best wouldn’t be as entertaining as it is without two of Todd’s children: Chase and Savannah. Todd has five children of his own, plus he and his wife, Julie, have taken in his oldest son Kyle’s daughter, Chloe. But Savannah and Chase have always been an entertainment tag team and are a major reason for the show’s consistently-high ratings. Now, the two have finally earned their own spinoff, which means their antics aren’t over yet.
‘Growing Up Chrisley’ will focus on Chase and Savannah’s lives as adults
Chase and Savannah were young teens when the flagship series first premiered, but their audience has watched them grow into mature (for the most part) adults. And now, the two have a show that will highlight their own adult lives. Chase and Savannah have decided to uproot their lives in Nashville and pursue careers out in Los Angeles. Chase is hoping to become an actor — nobody is certain how much acting experience he has. Savannah wants to get her foot in the door of the cosmetics industry. She likely has a better chance at finding success than her brother, simply based on the experience each has in their aspiring industries.
The spinoff was picked up by USA Network and will premiere in 2019
USA Network picked up the idea of Growing Up Chrisley, and the first season will premiere in 2019. Savannah announced that the show is already done filming its first season; it will run for 16 episodes and showcase the beginning of the siblings’ new lives in Los Angeles. If it’s anywhere as entertaining as Chrisley Knows Best, then it’s definitely a show that will see at least a few seasons on the network.
Chase and Savannah will still be regulars on ‘Chrisley Knows Best’
Despite venturing out on their own, Chase and Savannah will still be regulars on the original show. After all, while Todd is entertaining on his own, he’s nothing without his trouble-making children. Chase is now 22, so it makes sense he wants to be out on his own and try new things. Savannah is 21, so the close age has kept the siblings as best friends for most of their lives. This new series is bound to show the ups and downs of their sibling relationship, but we’re happy to know they’ll be letting viewers in on their exciting new adventures.
