Teigen is known for being very open with fans on social media, which is why she recently decided to hold a Q&A on Twitter where followers can ask questions they have about her life as a celebrity. “Ask me, your favorite A list celebrity anything you would like to know about being a super huge A list celebrity,” Teigen wrote.

Fans began sending Teigen lots of questions, and she answered many of them with honesty and wits. In the process, she also revealed many interesting details about her life that people might not have thought about.

For example, one fan asked Teigen what traveling is like for celebrities and whether they also have to struggle through check-ins and customs like mere commoners. In response, Teigen shared that celebrities usually go through “a terminal a mile from the airport that you pay membership for.” Teigen added: “They do the same security privately and take you to the plane in a car.”

Other questions that Teigen got concerned many other aspects of her life, such as how many nannies she has, how she gets concert tickets, and the perks that she gets as a famous person.

In one tweet, a fan asked Teigen about the number of expensive dresses that she has worn. To this, Teigen responded: “I have worn a lot of expensive things but always have to give them back.”

She also indulged in some details that people no doubt were also wondering about. Teigen shared that, ever since she gave birth to her children, she stopped being the sample size that designers can loan dresses to. As such, these days, Teigen has to buy most of the clothes that she wears to events.

As for what happens after she’s worn the outfits, Teigen is certainly not a hoarder. She wrote: “I buy almost everything I wear and then resell on The RealReal and donate the $ to charity.”

What is The RealReal?

Teigen did not explain what The RealReal is, but we have the basic information for you.

The RealReal is a consignment shop that focuses on reselling luxury items. According to a report from The New York, The RealReal takes luxury goods that people want to get rid of to a warehouse in California, where a team of horologists, gemologists, and luxury fashion authenticators will inspect the items to figure out their authenticity and value.

When an item is sold, the original seller gets anywhere between 40 and 85 percent of the cut.

The RealReal was founded in 2011 and has since become a huge force in online shopping. CNN noted that a big part of The RealReal’s success comes from the fact that it has “appealed to younger, environmentally conscious and aspirational luxury shoppers who want discount prices on high-end brands.”

Much of The RealReal’s sale is through its online store. However, it also has three brick-and-mortar shops: two in New York City and one in Los Angeles.

The RealReal does not disclose who the original sellers are, so it will be hard to tell at any given time if there is an item from Teigen that you can buy. However, dedicated fans who scour the site can surely pick up some cute pieces that are similar to what Teigen has worn.
