Chrissy Teigen is a 2-time cookbook author

Teigen started a food blog, So Delushious!, in June 2011. Since then it’s grown to become a brand.

Teigen published her first cookbook, Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat, in 2016. A success, save for a minor mishap with her accidentally releasing her phone number, she wrote a second cookbook, Cravings: Hungry for More, in 2018.

Teigen now has her own line of cookware at Target, Cravings by Chrissy Teigen. Split up into three categories, prep, cook, and serve, there’s everything from silverware and cutlery to platters and skillets.

She also has a dedicated Cravings website for all things food. Launching in November 2019 after much hype from Teigen, the site went live and crashed just moments later. Next up is a third cookbook. No launch details have been shared but in the meantime, Teigen’s still sharing recipes on social media.

Chrissy Teigen ‘spices up a recipe’ with Better Than Bouillon

In 2017, Teigen shared a useful cooking tip with PopSugar Food. She opened up about what she does when a dish is lacking in flavor or she simply doesn’t have the time to let flavors develop by simmering. She turns to Better Than Bouillon. Teigen always keeps a jar of it in her kitchen to add more complexity to dishes.

“I have that Better Than Bouillon jar because I always think food can be great, and sometimes it just needs a little jazzing up,” she said.

The mother of two continued, calling it an ingredient that’s often overlooked.

“People forget that there’s this totally cool cheat way of [using] bouillon, and now it comes in jar form,” Teigen said. “It always spices up a recipe that’s kind of lacking if you don’t have the time to let it simmer.”

So, when a recipe isn’t quite hitting the mark, follow Teigen’s lead and use Better Than Bouillon.

What Chrissy Teigen always has in her fridge

In the same conversation, Teigen offered up a list of things she always keeps stocked in her fridge. First up is protein. She keeps a supply of ground pork and chicken breast on hand to make a quick meal.

Then there’s cabbage and one of Teigen’s favorites, hot sauce. She confessed to having multiple types of hot sauce in her fridge including her favorite, Cholula. Finally, Teigen has garlic-infused oil, or what she describes as “garlic and olive oil that has simmered” in her fridge.
