Christina Anstead and Her Ex Tarek El Moussa Come Together to Support Their Daughter in the Sweetest Way
Christina Anstead and her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa may no longer be married, but they still put on a united front when it comes to their kids. The Flip or Flop hosts recently came together to mark a special occasion with their daughter Taylor, 9, and the show of support had the little girl beaming.
Tarek and Christina’s daughter performed in her school’s Christmas pageant, and her whole family was there to support her
Recently, Taylor took part in a Christmas performance, and her entire blended family was there to cheer her on. In an Instagram post, Anstead shared that her dad attended the event, along with her family and her ex’s family. Anstead is now married to Wheeler Dealers host Ant Anstead and has a new baby named Hudson, while El Moussa is in a relationship with Heather Rae Young from Selling Sunset.
“Tay’s Christmas performance was sooo cute!!,” the Christina on the Coast star gushed. “Glad my dad got to come too ♥️ We all sit together- my family and Tarek’s family. A couple people acknowledged how nice this is- I know there are a lot of divorced couples (including Tarek’s mom and dad) who do this too and it’s honestly easier for everyone. Plus Taylor’s face lights up when she sees us all in the same row supporting her.”
El Moussa and his girlfriend both shared short clips of Taylor’s performance on their Instagram Story.
Tarek and Christina have mastered co-parenting
While Anstead and El Moussa are no longer a couple, their lives are still closely intertwined. They both still appear on Flip or Flop (though each also has a solo show on HGTV as well). Plus, they have two kids together, Taylor and Brayden, 4. They even live in the same neighborhood, with houses just a couple blocks away from each other.
Despite their split, Anstead and El Moussa are each committed to putting their kids first. They’ve posted on social media about attending family parties, soccer games, and other events together — they even went trick or treating with their kids and new partners this year. That’s all very intentional, Anstead explained in a 2017 interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“We’re always going to continue to co-parent together and remain friends, so it’s just something we’re going to do in the future and we’re both happy about it,” she said.
“What doesn’t work [when you want to] co-parent is to have all that animosity towards each other,” she went on to say. “Kids sense that, so Tarek and I will never say anything negative about each other to the kids, in front of the kids. I think that’s so important. It’s so important to still communicate and show [our] kids that we’re still friends, that we’ll always be a family. Whether that’s sports events together, birthday parties. It just makes our kids feel more comfortable.”
