If an actor from one of your favorite shows did something to expand or continue their character beyond the show, it would probably make you pretty excited. For fans of Cole Sprouse, that moment is here. Check out what he’s up to lately, but you may want to turn your lights on for this one, especially if you spook easily.

Prepare yourself Sprouse fans. The Riverdale alum is prepared to bring out his Jughead Jones persona for his new podcast, Borrasca. What’s it about? Well, Sprouse, who also produces the series, stars as a young Sam Walker from the small-town of Drisking, Missouri. He’s determined to locate his sister who went missing suddenly after they moved there. Unfortunately for Sam, the closer he gets to answers, more and more people go missing. While he wants to get to the bottom of the mystery, it’s also quite unsettling for him.

The podcast episodes are 30 minutes each and take listeners on Sam’s journey to find his sister, where he discovers dark secrets the small town doesn’t want uncovered. You’ll get lost in this thriller and may just need to make sure you’re listening with a friend so you’re not alone to feel the fear it’ll ultimately bring. There’s no release date yet, but you can catch the podcast on the LA audio studio, QCode.

A connection to ‘The Haunting of Hill House’

Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House was enough to scare even the bravest of TV goers. With its eerie moments and shadowy feeling cast over the entire experience, viewers needed to watch it with the lights on or at least have a friend nearby. That might end up being the case with Sprouse’s podcast too. That’s because the eight-part series was written and created by Rebecca Klingel, the same person who wrote The Haunting of Hill House. Yes, it’s okay that you just got chills up your spine.

Who is Cole Sprouse?

You may not remember that Sprouse was on the Disney Channel with his twin brother, Dylan, as they starred in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Or that he once played a character of Friends. He’s also been in films like The Master of Disguise and Big Daddy. But Sprouse is most famous now for his role as Jughead Jones on Riverdale, and he’s quite the fan-favorite. He plays the role perfectly as the moody and a bit antisocial character. He’s been around since he was a child and is estimated to be worth about $9 million

You can also catch him, aside from the upcoming podcast, in the movie Five Feet Apart. Apparently, that movie was so good, it moved people to tears, including his own brother. He’s also in the new true-crime movie, Silk Road. While he’s not making movies, on TV shows, or doing podcasts, he’s a believer in sharing his experiences to help others. This includes reaching out to help child actors who are dealing with newfound fame and fortune like he once was.

As far as Sprouse’s dating life, he’s been most recently attached to his Riverdale co-star Lili Reinhart. They reportedly split in mid-2019, but have been rumored together and then apart and then together again off and on ever since, so no one really knows what to think. Fans are rooting for them, though, and she posts pictures of them on her Instagram often.
